The rules of this game are:

You post about any topic that is acceptable on WP. Could be about autism, Asperger's, or any random topic.

The person below you responds to YOUR post. Then writes something him/herself about any random topic :)

(The topic could be light or heavy. Sad or breezy. Long-winded or short. Could be about your day trying to make friends or a milestone you achieved. Maybe you seek advice and need a response. )

It could be argued, why not just post something anywhere. But the answer is: Sometimes you don't get a reply.

So here is the Write Anything, Get A (definite?) Response thread! :) :)

So I'll start. What do you think of this thread idea? Pros? Cons?

After posting had one thought - someone may post a topic that is very interesting and get several replies. It may derail the thread.

If this happens, it's OK. Life is not one linear timeline anyway. In any case, be sure to respond to the person directly above you..... even if that means ALSO replying to the post you find "interesting" :)

you answered your own question. ok, here is my contribution- why does a digital wurlitzer emulation organ have to cost nearly as much as a small house?

Instruments are just expensive. I don't know why, but that's the way it is. It reminds me of the price of dolls. Dolls are very expensive, even though they shouldn't be. That's the way instruments are - expensive even though they shouldn't be.

Now it's my turn to write something in hopes of a response -

As much as I hate to admit it, I think I'm getting too old for cartoons and other forms of entertainment geared towards children. I find their plots bland and predictable and their characters aren't "deep" enough for me. The scenes where the characters are happy and laughing and carrying on used to be my favorite parts when I was younger, but now I simply tolerate those scenes in the sadistic hope that something darker will happen later on. I didn't intend to become so jaded towards those types of things; it's a change that has happened gradually. I have only come to realize it recently when I noticed that nearly all of my failed attempts at trying to connect with a new special interest had one thing in common: they were all works geared towards children. It's a bittersweet revelation: on one hand it makes me rather sad to think that I'm finally losing touch with my inner child, but on the other hand, at least now I know which direction I need to go in my search for a new interest - works geared towards older audiences.

to IdahoRose- you might like "the secret of NIMH" or "watership down"if you want something both animated and dark.

anyways, on the [perseverative] subject of expensive instruments-

this one is worth over a million bucks.

In deed is better than in thought alone, unless you're a pervert.

I'm thinking of founding a new religion. Hell will be graphically portrayed as identical to Chuck E. Cheese's on a Friday night during the christmas season. However, sins may be atoned for by either rocking, or swiveling in a swivelly chair, so I'm all set for redemption.

i'd like a religion that worships cheeses of all kinds [as long as they weren't moldy]. and to answer tjr1243, i lack the games genes. just the same, i suspect tiddlywinks might be a fun game to play.

I remember tiddlywinks, vaguely. Indeed, the golden rule is supreme, although having Asperger's it can be a challenge because i'm very rigid and exact at times and incorrectly assume that the other person expects such treatment.

(Example: borrowing some napkins from someone and then, next time i see the person, replacing exact number of napkins.....They did not expect me to "replace" the napkins at all....")

Do you ever find that your social rules are more rigid than that of NTs?

(For example: If someone does something for you, you feel you need to do something for them right away...........whereas an NT may not feel such an immediate obligation)
