This game could be the story of my life. Perhaps I should call it "the 'reasonable' party pooper". Each poster depicts a scenario in which they want to do something, specifying what; the next argues as convincingly as possible why they should not do that, and then describes a different situation and what they want to do in it, so the game can go on.

Example

Quote:
[...]

I'm going to a job interview. I don't want to tell them I'm an aspie.

Quote:
You should tell them. It's morally unacceptable to withhold such vital information that can impact the company due to your inability to fit in with your co-workers. Could you sleep with yourself if the company went out of business because your co-workers were too busy bullying you to pay enough attention to their jobs? Employers definitely should have the right to know about your mental disorder, just like your criminal record.

[...]

I'll start.

I'm in front of a bench, at a bus stop. Noöne's in sight. I'm carrying a moderately heavy bag, and I'd like to put it on the bench so I can read something on my phone and let my hands rest, all without getting the bag dirty by putting it on the filthy ground.

Sure, it looks like there's no one around, but someone could very easily come along. Having your bag on the bench conveys the message that you are unfriendly and don't want someone to sit beside you. Even if you quickly move the bag, the person will have already gotten that impression. If you want to make friends and fit in with society, you have to be polite and let others know that you are approachable.

It's 10:00 pm, I'm tired, and I want to go to bed.

You totally shouldn’t. It’s very insensitive to the suffering of all the people in the world who can’t afford to sleep as soon as they’re sleepy, or don’t have a bed to sleep in. By going to bed, you’re effectively flipping them all the bird. Imagine doing it and let’s see how well you sleep. Serves you well!

I’m planning to look for a cheaper and stabler place to live for the next few months.

Where's your sense of adventure? A cheap, stable place will be totally boring. You only live once--why not splurge on that mansion you've always dreamed of? Live in the moment and enjoy yourself. Sure, you might end up bankrupt and homeless, but at least you'll be able to say you've fully lived your life. Besides, it'll make for a fascinating autobiography! Trust me, you'll regret it if you take the cheaper place and settle for a mediocre, mundane life. Make the most of your life before it's too late!

I want to start writing a new book.
