Just a thread to post what your pet peeves are. Don't insult or be mean to anyone, you should all be able to post without feeling pressured.

My main one is online, when people don't use correct spelling and grammar. I mean, when you don't have the space (like twitter) it's okay, but on places like facebook and forums, you have plenty of space. To me, when you use proper grammar and spelling, then you seem smarter, and you seem like you actually know what you're talking about.

technically anything can be a pet peeve. The people who go to Walmart and let their kids run around screaming is another pet peeve of mine :)

I agree with the people yelling at their kids in a store, especially when it's at my retail job. It's like they are stressing me out and I'm suppose to act like nothing happened.

I'm sort of a compulsive proof-reader myself ... and I can't resist, since you've basically invited it, pointing out that your third word was surely meant to be "thread" and not "threat". No?

I guess my own pet peeve is endless automated customer disservice phone lines, the kind where it takes forever (if ever) to get through to a live human being. Especially when their stupid voice non-recognition software so often misunderstands my perfectly mainstream American accent -- how do non-native speakers manage it? Or Brits, or Aussies, or West Indians, or Ghanaians, who speak English as a first language but with a totally different accent? By the time I finally get a human being on the phone I'm livid, I end up dumping this total rage on the poor hapless help-desk flunkie whose fault none of this is. Ugh. Yes, that would definitely be my biggest pet peeve.

Haha yes I do suffer from the occasional typo, but I don't care when people do that. It does however annoy me when people use the wrong weigh/way, there/they're/their, etc

Don't know if this is a "pet peeve," but it REALLY annoys me when people who come through the drive-through request a "half-and-half" drink. You know, like "Oh, I want half Diet Pepsi and half regular Pepsi" or "I want one-fourth Dr. Pepper and the rest root beer."

There is NO WAY to key this in on the register, so I hit the intercom button that lets me talk to my co-workers and relay this to them, all the while HOPING it's actually working that day AND that they can hear me over the noise.

Seriously, people, if you want a mixed drink at a fast-food restaurant come in and make the d**n thing yourself.

Commercials - by far. Some others would be loud and obnoxious people, car horns, ringing phones. I get uncomfortable just thinking about these things.

Personally, (and no offense) I wouldn't trust you to mix my drink, you might get it wrong. lol I would go inside to ensure that I get the proper amount of Orange pop and root beer.

None taken, trust me. If everyone thought that way it would make my job a LOT easier. :D

LOL I have a hard time going to fast food places...not so much regular restaurants...but I'm also trying to work on that... Basically I don't really like people handling my food, and so I can't force myself to eat a hamburger anywhere. No matter where I go (KFC, Arbys, BK, McDs) I have to get chicken. lol
