In this game, we tell a story, but the twist is that each line has to alternate between starting with Fortunately and Unfortunately.

Here's an example:
Post 1: One day, I was walking home from school.
Post 2: Unfortunately, it was raining.
Post 3: Fortunately, I had an umbrella.
Post 4: Unfortunately, the umbrella had holes in it.
Post 5: Fortunately, I had some tape to patch it up.

..and so on and so forth...

OK, let's play. I'll start:

One day Joe was walking home from school.

Fortunately, it was a nice, sunny day

Unfortunately, the sun was too hot and it burned him.

Fortunately, he had the day off school because of the sunburn.

Unfortunately, his TV and computer decided to shut down.

Fortunately, his friend texted him telling him that the school bully had been expelled.

Unfortunately, the bully got sent to a reform school in another district. The bully's parents wanted to be closer to the reform school, so they decided to move...right next door to Joe.

Fortunately, the bully never really bothered Joe.

Unfortunately, the bully's little sister, who was even worse, did.

Fortunately, Joe knew kung fu and could take care of her!
