Interesting, whatever, I don't really care. I've lived in Texas for most of my life, but have lived a bit in Oklahoma as well.

I had that same problem for that question. I pronounce syrup like the name "Sarah" with a P at the end.

It appears there are yankees outside the USA. At least I sound like I come from somewhere near the Great Lakes. In reality I live in Finland
