What's this? Before it said that "Guest" was the OP and Midnightstar16 was the last poster, but when I clicked on it it showed the things that normally are above and below the posts but no actual posts. But now it looks like I am the OP, except it says "2 posts" instead of 1 and "Guest" is still the OP on the list of topics. What happened?

Maybe it's a glitch in the Matrix.

I don't know what happened. I clicked on this thread too and saw no post, just the line above and below where the post should have been. Then WP went offline, and when it was back, your post was here. I checked the log and Midnightstar has deleted a post in this thread.

Clicking on Guest just takes me to "The requested user does not exist."

If I were to guess, I'd think that maybe she deleted it just too late, so the thread wasn't gone and so her post is gone and yours became the thread's OP. I don't know why the name would become Guest though.

I love those Glitch in the Matrix stories on Reddit and narrated on YouTube They're exciting and sometimes chilling.

I actually saw like, a gazillion threads at the begining of Off the Wall, just like this, and decided to post on one to ask why there were so many of them and why there were no posts, and why this guy's username was Guest... (can you even post to threads as an annon?) But I ended up deleting my post because I was scared I just threadkilled it and that somebody would get mad at me for Necrobumping a thread. Also, all the threads on Page 85 say that they were last posted on new years eve 1969 at 7:00 PM.... nobody's mad at me for necrobumping, right?

I dunno... I haven't seen any other threads with the date screwed up...

Oh now I get it. I could be mistaken, but I think those threads might be tests from when WP was new, Midnightstar. (and despite the apparent date, WP did not exist in 1970). I'm not sure what the date is about, but it's incorrect.

And no, people can't post here without an account. Some forums allow it, but it's not possible here. I'm guessing it was either a temporary account or they changed the settings so guests can't post.


also: while some people frown upon necrobumping, it's not against the rules and not something that will get you in trouble.

I've seen them on the very first page (or last page, depending on how you look at it; where the oldest threads are) of most if not all of the original subforums here.
