What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of public transportation?

^^^ hey now, bus passes aren't that cheap...

after having a car for over a year i don't think i would be able to go back to public transport. i dread the day my shitbox dies and i'm stuck taking the bus/bire until i get a new one. one of my most frequented locations is about 11 miles away and the only bus that goes there directly arrives at the main station every hour and only cycles about 6 times on the weekends.

i don't mind the fact that they can be crowded and full of odd people, the places i go to most often just aren't served well/close enough by them.

i would like to drive one though...

all buses remind me of the time i was 6 years old and in first grade, and i just came back from a field trip to the beach and i really had to go to the bathroom, but for some reason my stupid 6 year old underdeveloped "brain" decided against using the nearby facilities at school and instead to hold it until we got home, resulting in a constant battle against my bladder that i subsequently and mortifyingly lost while disembarking the bus, right in front of the driver and everyone onboard.

the type that used to be the regular type here, a yellow and slightly green kind. Now the regular buses are red, and the longer distance express buses are green

Being picked on by another kid on the bus and ending up fracturing his skull in a meltdown when he pushed me too far...

If we're strictly speaking buses, then the smell of diesel fuel comes to mind.
