Okay, if our choices are really random, then we should have a nice even mix of numbers. But do we all pick the same numbers as other people? And is it an Aspie thing or just part of being human?

DON'T post the number you picked as a message in this thread, only pick the number from the survey above.

If you post the number you pick or if you tell people how many there are of a certain number or which numbers are more likely you'll throw of the experiment.

In case someone doesn't follow this rule, I recommend picking your number before you read this thread.

This is an interesting poll question. Tough to analyze. We could be picking our favorite numbers, but a complex number is missing, at least so far. There were some unfavorable choices, in the interest of randomnity.

But if the goal is randomnity, and the majority of us accepted that, then I think we fooled ourselves. We expected someone else to do the easy part, while we took the meat. Meanwhile, we did achieve a near perfect randomnity, in a limited way. At least we tried to help. I did it, too.

I have voted in the poll.

Hopefully Anubis will edit his post, but then I hope people pick a number before reading that far (hmmm, test of honesty).

I think we'll kep this poll going for a short while and then we'll just open up the discussions, so we can say "I picked X because I like it." or "isn't it funny how so many of us picked Y and so few picked Z..."

It's all a bit of fun though.

Hey, does anyone think 7's a green number? Just out of curiousity...

(by green, I mean the colour when you think of 7)

This is interesting.

I think it's yellow, a similar shade to the yellow of the WP emoticons.
Three is also yellow to me, but a lighter shade.

Cool, I find 3 usually looks red to me, but so does 5 for some reason...

I don't see the colours as such - I mean, I know they're black and white on paper, but when I think of a certain digit, it's in colour... There's a guy in my class with true kinesthesia: he actually gets headaches if you show him a number that isn't the 'correct' colour
