Does anyone remember the Letter People from the 70's? This helped me to memorize the sounds of each letter, and sadly, they do not use this in early school curriculums...

Yeah, I remember them very well!
My favorite was always Mr. "R". second was Mrs. "C", because she was pink.:)

Head Start in the US uses the Letter People in many class rooms! I've used them to teach!

Yup! I grew up with those. I don't know if the Elm school I went to still uses them or not. I was cleaning out my parents garage recently and found Ms "O" (ostentatious? Or something simpler? I forget.. ). I didn't pay much attention to them, I must admit, since I could read at 14 months.
