If a member of your family, your favourite person in the world, was taken to court because he had run over someone by accident, would you lie for him/her? Would you lie for him/her if your family member had murdered someone?

You didn't say whether the person who got run over died. No, I probably wouldn't lie. Dealing with situations requires sticking to the facts. I probably wouldn't get away with lying, too.

No, i wouldn't lie.

If it was truly an accident then there is no need. If it wasn't a true accident then my friend or family would need help that the judge could award.

would I lie to protect a family member.

i agree with HD3H on this topic, lying under oath is a crime... and if they killed the person by accident, hmm... difficult...

I would never show up to court even if subpeonad...I would run off into the forest and begin life anew,feasting on berries,native tubors,stranded hikers and so on and so forth.
