Hi!
Yesterday I was skipping through some webpages and ended up in wikipedia about "Alternate Reality Games"...
I don't think I understood what it means, but what I understood sounded like it was real fun!! !
Can anybody explain?
Thanks a million!

It's simply like a video game version of the real world. You interact with characters(controlled by the game designers) and your actions have consequences, as they would in the real world.

Are you sure?
Then it would mean things like World of Warcraft or Second Life? That's boring... :(
What I read sounded different. It said it's a game that partly enters your real life, for example by calls or letters. And that it's sometimes hard to distinguish it from real life. It consists of several webpages that look like real ones, but are fakes for the game. It sounded like it could be kind of difficult to even find the game because it is hidden in this normal looking websites.
But the artical itself was kind of a mystery concerning its writing-style, perhaps I didn't get the point...
Well, but that's what made it interesting: sounded highly mysterious

No, you're right, I just didn't explain it in detail. I tried to make it simple for some reason. lol

oh I remember that EA was gona do something like this Pre 9/11 in which you actually get calls and letter by other ppl in the game (including emails IMs and other stuff) with clues and such and item handoffs in RT if 9/11 didnt happen the game would have been a big hit
