In this game, you must grant the wish of the previous poster. Twisting and exagerating the result of that person's wish is encouraged.

Example:

I wish I could have the Sennheiser HD800 headphones.
-----
Granted, but you forget the volume is turned up to the max, and you end up permenately damaging your hearing beyond repair.

Ah crap...you know what? I just realized that there is another one of these games already on this forum. Oh well, whatever. You can keep playing this one if you want to :).

I don't think there is, but there is a Corrupt a Wish thread, which is quite different. So (Lab Pet) first, I wish there were a Make a Wish thread (and the wish would come true). Grant a wish? Well, what wish? I could try, but no promises.

My wish: Spring would be over. In Alaska it's slushy snow and gray with too much sunlight - no green leaves yet.

Okay, you get your heavy rains, but you get soaked to the skin and die of hypothermia.

I wish my kitties would live as long as I will and be healthy all their lives.

Granted, but you develop massive cat allergies and have to suffer because of them every day. They also end up costing you thousands of dollars over the course of your lifetime with the frequent medical bills and food they need.

I wish the Audi RSQ was a real car and I owned it.

Okay, you get your car but you die in a crash that destroys it. Sorry to keep killing you off...I have to get my mind out of the graveyard

edit: aw, shoot, I forgot to make a wish!

I wish I had as much money as I want whenever I want it.

Someone (that's not me) to finish my research paper.....feeling overwhelmed right now.

KaliMa: If you write this for me I'll send you a check for $1,000,000!! ! 8O Which is at least a federal offense, but with good intent. My bank would laugh, or call 911 - don't know which.

How could you send me all that money after my research paper got you fired? I'm not science-y in the least, so it would be a terrible paper. I'm sorry you're stuck with that assignment :( ...I hate that overwhelmed feeling.

:D Worth a try? Besides, it's just a pretend make-a-wish. I'll then donate that check to Mist01 for that Audi RSQ.

Summer has come to Alaska. Global warming occurred more rapidly than expected and the climate in Alaska now resembles the Sahara.

Leprechauns appeared and wrote your research paper, but they wrote it about spectroscopic analysis of Irish gold samples. You are now a mineralogist, and you have just gotten an assignment to do field work out in the Alaskan 120F sandstorms.

I wish I was back out in the woods.

Did you say that wasn't proper? Did you march out on the track?
You were quiet, just like mice. And now you say that we're not nice.
Well thank you buddy for your advice...

^ hah hah...Lab Pet is writing about presynaptic transmission & neuroplasticity. Above is the make-a-wish leprechaun, breakfast cereal variety. That leprechaun is a neuroscientist. Actually, Interior Alaska (ie: Arctic/sub-Arctic regions) are considered 'deserts,' the Arctic desert since we have the extreme low-humidity of desert regions, such as the Sahara. But I hope Arctic regions never become hot deserts like the Sahara or Gobi!

Lab Pet wishes CanyonWind can go back into the woods_envisioning a beautiful forest teeming with animals and rocky streams of water.

Academic leprechaun assignments are currently managed by a group of Irish Americans working for FEMA. Somewhere out there there's a geologist overjoyed that her paper has been accepted for publication by both Science and Nature.

But she's now on wikipedia trying to figure out what a synapse is.
