[Rules]: This is a roleplay thread. You roleplay in this thread. Roleplaying is not a simple task. I do not want to write an explanation of roleplay, so you can find it here. In this thread, I want for a long term game where public role-play and private alike are prominent and active. This means that there is an unmentioned obligation that entails a dedication to the thread once you post your introduction (a task mentioned later). Making a post and then not touching the thread for a while is unacceptable and aggravating. Please be considerate of your fellow roleplayers, as this thread will most likely be unmoderated. Please refrain from metagaming, powergaming, and using out-of-character posts. Out of character posts should be marked, but at all avoided. If you have a question, please private message me. [Terms]: Out-Of-Character: Something said on the forum that is not your character speaking or an action being taken place. (OOC for short)
In-Character: The exact opposite of the above. (IC for short)
Uses of Asterisks: Asterisks (*) are used for emotions, or actions.
Actions (Emotions): In-Character events that are taking place. **Name smiles, and posts on Wrong Planet.
Metagame: Using out of character known information in character. An example of this is seeing a character's name on a post, and then having your character say it to him without learning it first.
Powergame: Doing something to another character, like punching or killing, without attempting first. You must always ATEMPT to do things to another character.

Please refrain from overly sexual roleplay. This includes sex, obviously, and any mention of it. As this is a high school, characters will be minors. Do not do it. Also, try to be descriptive in your paragraphs as to show an image in a person's mind. When you start out your character, post an introduction first. Make a separate post afterwards for any role play. An introduction is simply for reference.

[History]: [i]It is 2051. In Southern Michigan lay quiet town called North Willow. The people there are quiet, but the town has long been famed for its remarkable event just 50 years ago: being the first state in America to have individuals with incredible superpowers and abilities. The term for these people would later be 'supers'. However, the towns 15 minutes of fame are long gone, and so is the uniqueness. The businesses once opened in the bustle half a century ago are now being closed down, and life has long since been normal.

Though, the town is not devoid of life. The population is nearly 30,000, and in the middle of the town is a high school named "North Willow", after the town. It was built specifically for children with superpowers, exclusive only to them. However, they seek employment from regular humans and supers alike. And so, a new year begins. Perhaps filled with potential superheroes, or supervillians?

Backstory: I hate backstories.

**It is a chilly day, the Autumn air feeling crisp and somewhat foreboding. Ruth Palif steps forward onto the steps of the school, raising her hand to gently part the fringe resting against her brow. Her jeans are loose but comfortable, and her shirt is a fitting white camisole. Her shoes are black and white converse.

"Another day." she says to herself idly as she takes the steps necessary to get into the school. The chaos is absent, as the buses have yet to arrived. Most of the people here waiting in the comfort of the lobby are seniors, juniors and sophomores who know there way.

Ruth feels herself tired, and walks to an empty black bench in the middle of the long hall, unpopulated and eerily quiet. She sits, waiting for someone else to arrive.

Backstory: parents were both specials, both killed in front of him by a gang of thugs and as a result has extreme hatred for all non specials, very intelligent, highly ambitious, currently "collecting" other specials for an unknown purpose.

"Hello ruth". the voice startled her, and she jumped. "it's quite alright" said the young boy sitting next to her, who had sat down without her noticing. i'm Keir, and i've heard you've been hiding certain, talents, is that right?". the way the boy spoke puzzled Ruth slightly, sounding kind, but with a hint of bitterness hidden deep down. the boy waited for a few moments, then spoke again "i know how you feel, that even though people know about our talents, people like us still have to hide in the shadows, fearing violence and discrimination for what we are".

At that moment people began to walk through the doors at the end of the corridor, Keir drew a letter out of his back pocket, shoving it into Ruth's hands and then uttering the promise that it would explain everything, before walking away.

Keir, irritated by the girls lack of a response, wandered to his lesson angrily, frustrated at the poor first impression he had made on someone who clearly had the potential to be very useful indeed.

Superpower: Absorption metamorphsis(It's like normal meta morphosis but with the disadvantage of having to touch a creature to become it.)

Backstory: Garret was born posess the ability to change form to resemble animals like many people born with metamorphosis. But unlike the others, Garret could never do it as well. His variation of the common ability required phsical contact with an animal in order to transform. At any one time, he can only change between his Human form and the most recent species of animal that he has had physical contact with. This is a setback because it is uncommon for a wild animal to willingly approach a Human. His most common form is that of a wolf dog. He has a pet wolfdog hybrid that he recieved as a pet for his 13th birthday. He is also able to assume a form being used by another shapeshifter, but most shapeshifters don't let him and he is very uncomfortable with having
to do this.

Garret spends much of his time alone, being the subject of constant ridicule for the other shapeshifters and those higher on the social chain.
(If I'm not allowed to pick a power that has already been picked, I have other choices to go with. So don't hesitate to tell me to pick another power.

Introduction: Neveah Swann
Superpower: Psychic(not the kind where you have visions. Its the kind where you can read minds and/or tell if a certain person can be trusted or not)

Backstory: Neveah was born with the ability to hear people's thoughts and to tell whether someone is lying or being honest. No one knows about this ability except for her parents who love her for who she is.
The only thing about Neveah that is noticeable is that she was born blind. Because of her blindness, she hardly has any friends and she has never been in a romantic relationship. Ever since she was a young girl, Neveah had been home schooled. It wasn't until she recently turned 16 that she wanted to be in a school with other kids her own age. At first, her parents weren't so sure if she would be happy. Eventually, they let their daughter attend North Willow High.
As a student at North Willow High, Neveah continues to hide her ability and ignores the fact that she is blind. In the meantime, she wishes for someone to love her for who she is whether blind or not.
At school, she can mostly be seen sitting under a tree singing to herself. She does love to sing.

Introduction: Monica Scott
Superpower: Telekinesis

Grade: 12
Backstory: Monica is the younger sister of the famed assassin Desiree Scott, who killed people with her extremely long fingernails which could pierce through anything. Monica is very snobby. Her priorities lie within her image and her grades. She always dresses in her best to maintain her role as the most fashionable girl of the school, and she is a straight-A student. Monica is also a huge b***h. Despite her malevolent demeanor, Monica is neither good nor evil. Sometimes her soft side comes out, while other times she can be very heartless and conniving.

"What up losers?" Kym asked passing Keir and Ruth, "except for you,sexy" Kym added as she ran her fingers over Keir's shoulder still walking. She started texting someone as soon as she got to her locker. She put the phone in her tote bag and opened her locker.

Introduction: His body is streamline and featureless, the color black. Goes by the name of Shade
Superpower: Shooting energy pulses from his hands, flight, being able to possess others.

Disposition: Utterly and completely evil to the point were others are no more then an interference.

Grade: 12
Backstory: An experiment 38 years ago created Shade. He escaped, killing some students in the process. Some people believe it to be the most dangerous creature in the town area.

Suddenly, a strange form appeared to come across the vision of Kym, Keir, and Ruth. Shade had came inside. A strange howl came from the being as it targeted Keir with its energy blast and fired it toward the muscular boy.

OOC: Unrelated, but nobody really answers my posts, but probably because I do them too much. I have two RP called "Miskatonic Voyage" and "Brains & Guts". It's going to be pretty fun when it gets started up.

Meanwhile, Monica Scott was positioned in front of her locker, primping in her mirror. She was wearing her brand new black cardigan, with her plaid skirt and her Mary Janes. She heard a commotion down the hallway, but, being in a brand new, expensive cardigan, she had no interest in using her telekinesis to quell the disturbance, no matter how thankful her peers would be of her. That was just her nature, extremely self-absorbed. "What's in it for me?" was her motto in life.
