Um... so now that it's here we need some Man Stuff to fill it.

<belches>

So what's the manliest (manlyest?) thing you ever ate? For me it was shrimp. Yes, shrimp. I ate it when I was in Japan. This sushi plate comes out and there is this shrimp crawling across it. The other people grabbed it, ripped it in two, sucked out the head, and then ate the rest. I followed suit.

So... uh... be sure to get your prostate checked if you're over 40. Yep. You don't want a malfunctioning prostate. Then you wouldn't be able to ... to... Well, I don't really know. But I'm sure you'd miss whatever it was.

If we truly had "man cards," how many people would have forfeited theirs by now?

Well if it's Stickey'd i guess we should talk about something central to why peace-time male forums, groups, circles fail to last...

I'll say this, it's my opinion, but i've thought it through. Males in western cultures do not often stay in forums/groups as long as females do. And i will say why, i will say what i believe supports this.

Males, in Western Societies, are given or bequeathed most powers at birth by everyone, this includes the Mother, Father, Doctor, Nurse(s), Taxi driver, TV, Radio, Media, practically everyone. They are not however, given or bequeathed any wisdom about how to use this power, some seek this wisdom through male role models, or through trial & error. Very few seem aware of this phenomenon, i'm going to spell it out here so some more people are more aware of this.

Why do males avoid forums, groups, circles, etc? Well, because they have everything they need to wield their powers granted at birth, or at least the trial & error approach is open to them. A few meet in forum, group or circles to engage in or seek empowerment.

Why do females differ? Well, because at birth they are not granted much power at all, excluding the secrets of being female that is. So generally in Western Societies females group, circle, and meet to discuss topics that empower them, this empowerment is the dual collection of power and the wisdom to use that power, which seems sensible to me btw. People do not wish to be powerless, who would want that in a modern nuclear society? (please think this through as if you had little or no given power and you'll see what's going on).

Recently, there has been much to increase female power and empowerment, two camps really, female rights (a Woman is just a social role that any person or animated thing can play at btw, one is born male or female but often given or chooses many roles throughout a life cycle in society).

In the 1st camp: If a female wants to increase her Power(s) she must do something to give those powers to herself despite the orientation of her society and then do what anyone can do to use that power, just like a male can. This is much easier for a male to do, and if you're a male just think like this to see how hard it is in reverse - what would you have to fight or how hard would you have to fight to get acceptance into a powerful female group?

So in the 2nd camp: If a female wants to increase her Empowerment she'll find many female and some mixed or even powerful male groups willing to accept and grant her the powers they have along with the wisdom they teach to use those powers. This is, btw, preferred by intelligent female personalities; and the 1st camp is preferred by the more aggressive, or militant, or competitive female personality types.

So, Male get togethers are over fairly quickly because the power is present to at least take a trial & error approach to the problem(s) at hand and permission is usually granted immediately to try and see what results will come about, whereas females are more concerned with the careful acquisition of power during these meetings and will usually carefully formalize their feelings, thoughts, and rights to use power, as well as, wisdom on the use of power, this takes time to form empowerment.

On a last note is that, the predominantly male roles are often full of mental energy; whereas, the predominantly female roles are often full of emotional energy. This of course is where we get the stereotypical "stupid" male verses the stereotypical "crazy" female monikers during power struggles.

Anyhow, i'm open to discussion on this, thanks for reading all that, however, for all i know most males will not actually read so much about something that they feel does not concerns them. We may actually have more female replies to this! ;)

Cor'e =)

Core, I think there's a lot of truth to what you say. Myself, I'm for "empowerment" for all. It's not like there's only a fixed supply of "power" available, and we all have to fight for our share. Empowering one empowers all.

Hi Stone_Man, thank you for seeing some truth in those words. I concur that one who is empowered may share that combined power & wisdom with any and all. This happens in Circles, Forums, Groups, etc., and makes empowerment verses a power struggle the intelligent choice that benefits civilization.

In reality, there is a perceived limited changing amount of 'power' at times, not everyone has as much as they desire, that creates the wide-spread struggles for it. Undeveloped powerful people often fear giving away "their" power(s), and so, there will be a struggle when we think or feel what we do or don't posses is limited.

We can give away empowerments as much as possible to as many as possible to counter-act negative power struggles, but it needs to be developed to a level of wisdom that will allow peaceful co-existence with all neighbors being powerful.

People will eternally struggle both ways, we are not perfect, meaning, Females and Males will continue to struggle both ways. A person's predisposition towards power-struggle/empowerment is primarily a social/cultural influence, and is enforced from birth and throughout life. If we change our society and culture then we may see change in the general male/female behaviors, but it will always be a mix of empowerment and power-struggle as we develop as a civilization to higher wisdoms.

It is clearly a myth that matriarchy is better than patriarchy if that idea arises, it is clearly reality that we'll have the gifts of empowerment and power-struggles, as well as, the toils. The key is developing wisdom and sharing it, and that is what open Circles are good for. =)

Aspy's may be a group that is more open and honest and keenly aware of the world around them; we may be analyzing and seeing things from a perspective of an outsider, i think this engenders more and deeper insights than normal.

Core, I don't understand what you mean by "power". Could you elaborate or give an example?

I suppose it would be good for some people, although I doubt there is anything I would post on a men's forum that I can't post anyway else. And unless you block women from reading and/or posting, what exactly do you gain?

Excercising the prostate muscle is good for keeping it in good working order and has other benefits too. It's the muscle you'd use if you were stopping a piss half way through. Squeeze that muscle as long and as hard as you can as often as is convenient.

Keep it contracted during sex and you'll notice (and she'll notice) something very interesting, your dick will be bigger and harder normal and will stay that way as long as you keep the muscle contracted but it does take a while before you can hold it for long.

The other benefit is once you've got complete control over the muscle contracting it closes the urethra so you can't ejaculate, you can still orgasm though, this is v difficult to master but worth trying for sure. Have fun with your new toy.

This is the kind of post that might fit in a men's forum.

Here is a question before an answer: Why?

Now here is the question:

I find that women were the most attractive during the following approximate periods:

1920 to 1940
1965 to 1985

Is it just me or is there something else?

Ok having studied fashion history having been a costumer in a few small playhouses, bewteen 1920-1940 two things happened 1 women begain to realy wear make-up and 2 the hemline went-up oh and because the hemline went-up women stared wearing hose also a sleker line came about in womens clothing nomore bustles and ruffles and alot more skin. In 1965 to 1985 hemlines went wayyyyy up bare leg was seen for the first time and more of the boobs. Maybe some of this is why you liked women from this time?
