Save planets, kill threads

That comment stumped me for such a long time Lemon!

How does anything I do help save the planet?
We live in a world where aeroplanes dump tons of fuel into the upper atmosphere on a daily basis, and I am supposed to be frugal with my car travel,
there's oil spills and rampant pollution and I'm not supposed to litter,
the Amazon Rainforest is being butchered to allow palm oil plantations and cattle ranchs, and I am supposed to plant a tree!

It's so terribly depressing!
I've thought about it a great deal and probably the only real thing I can do to make a difference is to donate money to those schemes that help people out of the poverty trap. The idea is that people that have wealth are secure enough not to have 20 kids,
have time for leisure and develop a social conscience
and start cleaning up their communities and demand from their politicians
a greener attitude towards their governance.

In my lifetime, for the planets sake,
I sure hope so!

yeah just one person does not make a difference

but it's kind of urgent anyway, i guess it should be the only thing everyone is talking about.

i just read that eating meat is far more worse than driving a car, cause the production of meat is very energy and resource consuming.

It's not an easy question, but maybe someone comes up with a good idea, so it's definitely my new year's wish.

one of the ideas I heard were that there is quite some good work done by certain cities, so maybe it's not something that can be solved by individuals(too small) nor by states(too big) but by local initiatives?

also there needs to be a lot of change anyway, whether the climate changes or not, cause the classic energy sources don't last forever

Oh you're **** right I'm a thread killer. I told myself it would stay a fantasy. Then one day I killed my first thread. Oh I had guilt but I couldn't deny how alive I felt. Now I can't help but smile when I feel the life slip out... I savor it.
