While all of this is new to me, it's not really new to me, as I've often suspected I'm autistic in some way. AS just seems to "fit" with how I am and relate to the world. Fascinating.

So I took the test and wasn't surprised with the results:

Your Aspie score: 170 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 39 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

Your Aspie score: 144 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 63 of 200

There were a few questions I left as '?' because I didn't know what else to say. This could very well be because I take things extremely literally and it makes answering questions difficult sometimes. :\

I did like that there was a question about 'slow running water' - I could never explain it but I've always really liked washing dishes and just letting the water flow over my hands, maybe now it makes more sense.

(can't post the picture because its only my second post it seems)

I'm diagnosed AS, and these are my results:

Your Aspie score: 185 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 22 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

Has anyone tried taking the test again? The first time I took the test I had only just heard of Aspergers and didn't really believe I had it, but since my diagnosis I've been doing much more observation and reflection of my own behaviours and emotions and have gained a much better understanding of myself, which I believe has helped me to answer the quiz questions more accurately this time :D And this feels much more true:

Your Aspie score: 148 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 55 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

I have taken the test three times over a period of time, I do not remember the NT score but my Aspie score has been:

170
166
172

I am not diagnosed though.

I haven't been formally diagnosed either, sorry, I should probably have said "since my self-diagnosis". The first test I took on the first day somebody presented me with a description of AS from Tony Attwood's website and I just went "oh my god - that really does sound like me!" and they gave me a link to the Aspie-quiz and I did it straight off, without ever really having observed my own behaviour and emotions, particularly in relation to social situations. I just knew that I always took a deep breath and switched my persona on before I walked into a room. Now I've been reading all I can on the subject and sharing experiences with other Aspies I have a much better understanding of myself, which I feel has made my new test result more accurate (as opposed to being unconsciously biased just because I now know what the questions are getting at). :D

Am I making any sense? :?

I'm self/un-diagnosed. I say self, my girlfriend is technically the one who diagnosed me. I wasn't aware that the things I was saying were socially inappropriate. 8O

I think I'll get my NT girlfriend to take this quiz tonight, before seeing my score.

I made my NT girlfriend take the test.

She got:

Your Aspie score: 73 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 140 of 200
You are very likely neurotypical.

She got a pretty high Aspie score, but I think a few things could have eschewed the results. She got above average in NT Socialising though.

First, thanks for having this posted.....I scored a 156 for Aspie & 67 for NT.....and frankly I was trying to answer as "positive" minded as possible, so being as social minded and even minded as possible I still got a fairly strong score.

Update......

Not having such a positive day now, probably a more normal day for me and re-took the test and got a 170 and a 41. Sounds like I've defined my own spectrum.

Thanks,

Mike

Questions like "Are your eyes extra sensitive to stong light and glare?" bother me. Extra sensitive compared to what? I have no experience looking through anyone else's eyes. I almost refuse to go outside between dawn and dusk unless I've got polarized sunglasses on, does that mean I'm extra sensitive to glare or is it just a personal preference?

Came up with 121/83 answering things as "typical" as possible. Taken it before when I was a little down and was somewhere around 150/60. Hrm.

178 on the ritvo. :?

Your Aspie score: 121 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 92 of 200
You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits. <<<mine

My girlfriend scored 183 of 200 on neurotypical.
She was reading the test outloud and said her autistic brother would of been 200 of 200 aspie.

I don't believe you are meant to take the labels to identify yourself in a group.

In my opinion this test's existence allows us to understand ourselves and how to have others understand us better (like our family and friends, if we have any friends... ;) ). It's funny. For the past couple of years I've marveled at my weird perception and logic on the world, and I would say to myself "I wasn't made for this world, I belong somewhere logical". Quite ironic that the website is called WrongPlanet. So perhaps we all feel this way. My view of life is so different from my friends and family. I started posting on psychology forums about how I feel about myself and they suggested that I have a mild case of Aspies. It turns out the more I read about Aspergers the more I understand myself. It was preaching to the choir. That's what this test is about... It's meant to help us understand that certain habits we have aren't weird in an unhealthy way. They are weird to others, however Aspergers is extraordinary and sublime, and we are healthy. If you're on the line, or barely over the line of Aspies, then you have Asperger traits. You don't need to have a doctor tell you that and you don't need a test to give you a label on that. It will probably ruin you. You know how you feel. Use it and wield yourself. Don't let a doctor label you and make you feel like you're not how you feel. I don't want another number on my forehead. I have Asperger traits. I felt out of place for a long time and now I know where I can go to understand myself. Now I know for sure. Now I can make better decisions for my present and future. I'm a 24 year old male. I'm happy to finally of figured this out today.

Well, that was disconcerting! I did the quiz that Zeichner recommended, and was informed that I am very likely a NT. My aspie score is 87 and my nt score is 124.

The AQ test also shows me to be solidly in the NT camp.

So, I guess that my socially clumsy aspects just show that I am somewhat socially clumsy. I'd have preferred to have something fixable to work on, as the health issues I have are clearly not very fixable.
