define, a concert is a live music performance in front of an audience. live concert is a over-statement then, i'd say :jester:
as kids we'd hang out often at the (concert) theatre
classical music, opera, operetta, the odd (boring) choir, comedy

No.

And if I did, it's probably long before I'm old enough to form any consciously recallable memories.

I went to the Big Day Out with a friend in 1995, I was 18. Most memorable was The Prodigy, they were insane. Lead singer/dancer spat lemonade all over us. Went home sticky but happy. They were well worth seeing.

Yeah, but I try not to...

It was Lynard Skynyrd, but I have seen some better concerts since then.

Neil Diamond at the Tacoma Dome, 1980 I think. It was right after the Jazz Singer movie. Went with my Mom, she was a fan. I wasn't a fan until I saw him live; it hooked me on live music from that point on. He played for over 2 hours, no warm up act.

I've been to dozens since, some as good, others not so much. My favorite was Bumbershoot music festival in Seattle. I saw Ben Harper, Tracy Chapman, George Clinton, and Motorhead all in one weekend there.

The crowds did bother me, but the energy of live music more than compensated for me. Some bands are awesomely better live, others are horribly worse.
