at the first inkling of a headache - take 3 aspirin.
half hour later, unless the headache is abating - take 2 more.
one hour later, unless the headache is much better - take one more.

He swore that nearly every headache will go away on this schedule.

I know a massage technique that nearly always works, but can't help you there from here in that manner, therefore, have written the above. Hope it helps.

"Massage"??? Run away, Hon!! ! Run away!! ! Run Away!! !!

Specifically for ZanneMarie, You might be impressed by (envious of?) a picture of my destop that I stuck here - mainly because you might like the "SkyDome" I use behind the desktop cube. (Although not much is showing.)
I am envious! Pea green with envy in fact! I have the spinning universe on mine. I wish it would actually spin. I need the 3D model.

Do you have a sky on your ceiling?

In reverse order... I have a ceiling on my ceiling, the sky's somewhere above that, or did I miss something there?

When you say "I need the 3D model."... Ubuntu 7.04 comes with Compiz already loaded in and Beryl as a simple choice, so my friend who has just installed it tells me. He also says it runs considerably faster than 6.10 (this). Or... would you be after an orrery?

Finally, how can you have a spinning universe than doesn't spin? (I can never remember how to spin my cube and leave it spinning... I can always wait for the screen savers to cut in. Cube spin/colour invert + whatever I put on the faces - currently all the same, regular solids.)

I see I should have checked in on you loooong ago! Jumping on tables pointing fingers, eh? :) (You and my mom are related). Glad you and your husband fit together well. I wouldn't worry about the present thing. Just spring one on him whenever you remember to do it, and say "Merry Christmas!", no matter what time of year it is. Then on Christmas just remind him that he received his gift on August 3rd. :)

I'd like an orrery as well, but I was talking about painting the ceiling like the sky. My office is like that. dh did it for me.

My spinning universe is just a picture of a spinning universe. I want a 3D movie of it. That would be better. I could watch it in motion. I'll change my avatar so you can see it.

The real sky is the best of course.

Hahaha! I've been doing massage therapy since 1995. Shiatsu works for tension headaches. Not too good for clusterheadaches or migraines.

I make sure he gets really good presents he likes all the time. I'm just bad with remembering the dates and he does remember. :( I don't like to be that way to him. He's worked his way through too many things with me and he never gets excited or loses his cool. Now, when it comes to the lawn or the linen closet, that's another issue. He's over the top OCD, but that doesn't bother me at all. That's why we fit.

Yes, I did rather pick on Tennessee! Sorry about that!

Chuck, you didn't see my marriage advice in the women's section! LOL Go look at that thread How to DESTROY a marriage. You'll get a kick out my marriage advice. Of course no one will ever take it. LOL

Same here. Exhibit 1: Gwyneth Paltrow in "Sliding Doors"-liked the movie a lot, except for her annoying voice & affected accent.
Have read that Stephen Fry is (or has been) on "Bones", which I've never seen. I have enjoyed him & Hugh Laurie from "Bertie & Wooster" and "Blackadder(s)". So odd hearing Laurie "speak American" on "House" (which I like somewhat, but can't handle the gross stuff), yet he does a good job of it.

Hi Belfast! I was rather hyper last time I wrote you! Meant you no harm in any way, and apologize if I hurt your feelings. Sometimes I get a little too playful, but I never mean to insult anyone. Looking back over what I wrote the first time you landed here made me cringe.

Yeah, I found it rather poor form to taunt me with (I'm paraphrasing NOT quoting) "do you dare enter this thread ? because there are criminals here !". Then when I said "I'm not prejudiced against such labels because my boyfriend is an ex-con" I was treated to some sarcasm about maybe he's done some crime against me (when I didn't reply). That was off-putting. Cringe-inducing, cringe-evincing, cringeitudinal, cringe-worthy.
Figured no point in my bringing it up, since no one else appeared to take it seriously or be bothered by it. Thanks for belated social reparations.

Takes out her riding crop and lashes Chuck. Okay Belfast. He's made amends. Puts riding crop back, dusts off hands and goes back to Pink Floyd.

The marvels of using a system where all the software you need is available, and free.

Now that is useful software. Isn't that beautiful? You can buy a ticket to go into space now. That's what I want to do.

That wasn't so good, really. It didn't have an image of IC 342. However, the Orion Nebula, for example...

Whoops! Sorry Belfast!

I was down reading your list ZanneMarie - I agreed with the whole first part - well thought out and nicely done! (Disagreed only with the apology part - I think people really do see that they've made errors and then try to restart on new footing). The whole last part, well, you're probably right (but I wouldn't know :) ).
