My latest obsession is designing and building a musical synthesiser from scratch. I'm currently obsessed with the complexities of making all the circuits work with the software (its part digital) and have been spending large amounts of time and money on it!

I just got back into writing again. Don't know how long this will last. I wish I could just finish what I want to write, but I never do it long enough to finish anything.

My last fad before that was video gaming around a month ago. I played the Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion and Black Ops II, and some Fallout 3. Now I hardly play games at all.

History in general, and currently Europe in the 9th to 11th centuries, especially the Frankish Empire and the Byzantine Empire.

Sesame Street was really dangerous for me last week. I watched about nine hours worth of the episodes from the seventies.

I've DONE that! But I turned the volume down low so the neighbors wouldn't hear. :)

My current obsession is reading up on Asperger's and Autism.
I'm 99.99% convinced I am an aspie, hence signing up to WP.
I'm going for an assessment next month; 41 is a bit old for a older diagnosis, but putting all the pieces together it's the only diagnosis that makes sense to me.

I've gone through various stages of wanting or resisting diagnosis, but it's only in the last 6 months or so I've felt I want to pursue it for sure.
Better to get diagnosed sooner than later with the new DSM writing Asperger's into the spectrum, and making things a bit vague.

My life has not been easy ( I know I'm preaching to the choir), but the thought of being vindicated in my sense of self, and acknowledgement of the difficulties I have - rather than continually being told I'm just being difficult - has got to be worth it in the long run.

Here is an addictive obsession that is also fun and rewarding: Sweepstakes! It's all a numbers game. The more you enter, the more you win. Find a website that lists them for you, invest a few bucks in Roboform, and you'll soon be hooked.

"I never win anything!". I used to say that too, until I started sweeping. In my first six months of doing it, I won a new car, a $7k vacation and other smaller prizes. I estimated an overall haul of over $30,000 in prizes my first year. I had to enter several thousand sweepstakes to get it, though.
