I don't think I look like a teenager anymore but who knows perhaps! People always comment on how young I look and always have. At 33 people think I'm early 20s generally. But when I was in my twenties people accused me of being a teenager.. D'oh.

I once had someone come to my house and ask me if my mum or dad were home, I think that was an all time low!! I was probably about 21 at the time. I used to get asked if I was an adult or a child on the bus and was asked for ID allot.

It's really annoying when you are dealing with business people in a professional environment and they treat you like you're a kid or ask you how long you've been doing what you do. This ones always funny because when you answer 14 years they look at you in complete disbelief.

But on a brighter note.. I still look good :P

Also RE this:

Quote:
I think Aspies look younger because we generally don't have the stresses of marriage and kids that bring gray hairs. Though I do have a few gray hairs myself. Whenever someone tells me I look young at work I want to say "well not drinking, doing drugs and smoking nor having a spouse nor kids has a lot to do with not aging so quickly". But I don't say that I just think it.

I am a smoker, am married, have had lots of stress, get naff all sleep, have some grey hairs, occasional drinker and have experimented with drugs in the past. So this doesn't apply to me

I'll be 35 soon and I get hit on by teenage boys still.

When I was 15 everyone thought I was 20. I am now 27, but people still think I'm 20. I'm often asked what I'm studying in school. At my last job, the boss commented that I resembled "a large boy". It's a pretty accurate description I suppose. I think it's not just skin, but also my postures and facial expressions. People are also quite shocked when they find out I'm married. Until recently I didn't think much of any of this, but now it makes sense.
I strongly suspect that most of my mother's side of the family has asperger's, as they meet all the criteria including the youthful appearance. For the longest time I was convinced it was because they were Polish.

I am leaning towards the theory that the youthful appearance has more to do with personal habits rather than genes. It seems strongly related to urge to feel safe. I don't drink, smoke, take drugs (rarely even take medication even when needed), or fry myself in the sun too often. I usually make quite exaggerated facial expressions when talking with others (but I do my best to avoid people), and to top it all off I'm quite lazy as well (sleep a lot too).

I still feel like a teen.

I still do not have the maturity to realise that I only need to be myself, instead of blindly do the things others just do, do and do...

I look very young. I teach high school and despite neing 27 will be mistaken for a student by anyone new in the building. I have always looked liked a teenager. Being 5'2'' doesn't help either.

Don't worry being short. I am also quite short... And being small will help us blend with other people of a younger age!

Look at the positives, they will make our lives much better. :D

I'm small and I have a babyface. So I look about 14. I was asked for proof of age when buying a 15 rated DVD :D

I'm 45 and just this past Friday, a man asked me what grade I was in.

Last summer, a lady stared at my ID for a long time, looking back and forth between me and the ID, she finally let me through when another customer came up... I always get carded.

Two years ago, my manager at the restaurant asked me if I was old enough to work behind the bar.

Frankly, I think it's pretty cool.

Look at your pic... looks that you really need proof of age, because you look like a teenager. What did you do to stay seemingly forever young?

I think a handful of guys I've gone out with have been disappointed to find out that I'm almost 30, rather than barely 20, as they thought. Not a bad problem though!

I think that as my hair starts to grey more (and it began when I was 21), people will no longer make that mistake. I refuse to put all those chemicals by my brain! heh

Good that grey hair will make you older, which makes it more true for your age.

People quit thinkingI looked like a teenager some time in my 30s. At 49, I'm no longer even mistaken for an undergraduate any more.

Well, you can put me in that camp of looking younger than I actually am. At least this is what I'm told. I am 37 in these pictures:

You be the judge.
