Well, yeah. Life is good. It was rough getting started, we lost six during pregnancy. Then, we gave up "trying" (actually we gave up more than once), but two little miracles finally "came true".
oh, my heart goes out to you, Dawg. I miscarried 6 times myself between 4th and 6 months, so I understand the heartbreak and confusion and blame that can embitter one against the whole family experience. I am so glad you perservered ( or is that perseverated?) until you have your two little miracles!
I have brought one pregnancy to term, in 1969, and she was taken from me as they had different laws back then, different procedures and practices.
so I have reproduced myself, but didn't raise any children. I don't know if she is OTS, either.
Merle
I thank you, Merle, but WOW! ... What a coincidene! Ours were lost between the fourth and sixth months also, except for the first one, who did not make it past the third month.
*becoming suspicious that I am talking to my wife online* (wouldn't that be an aspie's irony?)
The second one was the absolute hardest, though, because we had made announcements to the world and everyone in it and newborn gifts had come our way already from family and friends. We hadn't told anyone about the first time, figuring it was a fluke, but when it all went bad, everyone seemed to avoid us or at least the subject. Except for the nursing staff, we had no support at all. We quit telling people after that and just kept it to ourselves.
BUT ... Hey, don't anyone feel bad for us, because what treasures we have, now, will never be outdone and all the bitter cold and pain of before, melts away when I hear the melodic laughter of my incredible children. We're all good here!
I feel for YOU, for not knowing your child. Like Chuck said, I hope you can meet up and do fun things, if that is what you want.
OK, I'm a fractal nutzoidian, too. Where are all the fractals everyone is talking about. I may have to take hostages, by posting more of mine to show off, if someone doesn't "give 'em up."
