Yup yup. Later in life when I ran into the people that I had treated badly, I would walk up to them and give my humble apologies. One of which got me punched in the mouth, lol. Funny thing was, we became drinking buddies after that little deserved whack. There aren't too many things I would do differently in my life, I mean I had to learn somethings the hard way and sometimes it's what you need to do. Treating others badly when they don't deserve it is one that I would do differently. It's water under the bridge and now after so much time, very little that could be done about it, even if I could. I'm only thankful I learned not to, fairly fast, and didn't do it to very many. Live and learn. Now I get to do it to people that do deserve it, with an art that they never know what the hell hit them. So maybe I haven't changed all that much 8O

Did you know there is a song called "s**t Town" by "Live"? Good tune. I liked your town by the way. A little big for my taste, but the country side was nice. Very pleasant to the eye.

I'll join this list: "Ringing in my ars". Ys I gt it too.

Ooops. Sorry about this, but until Chuck rturns my usual brain, I'm having to mak do with this on, and it dosn't do that lttr at all. You know, th on btwn D and F.

Anyway, to gt back to th ars. I hadn't rally noticd it that much. I think I manag to filtr it out prtty consistntly, without trying too hard. Occasionally, I find it hard to go to slp, as I'll start to focus on that sizzling sound and, just lik counting shp, it dosn't snd m to slp at all.

Yes, I have been thinking about the "What we resist, persists" theory and applying it.
Welcome the nuisance into my life, accept it. I wonder, though, if it's a true Aspie trait, or because we have subjected ourselves to loud music and lots of it piped directly into the ears via head phones. Eh? Whatcha say, Sonny?

I have always assumed it was a combo of things, loud music, guns/explosions, factory noise, etc. I never thought it might be something that just came from being born, interesting. But I tend to think it's more from my bad life style. It can be counter acted, but for the most part I just live with it. If my hearing gets much worse and hearing aides are in order, I'll probably have them done to counter act it. Anyway I can read lips half way well, pisses the Wife off when I tell her she has to look at me to talk. I can scare the hell out of people when I come up to a group and know what they're talking about, when I haven't been that close to them. Forgot the tech name fot it, begins with T, tinselsomethingorother.

Lau!! Dude!! Follow the yellow brick road.

Chuck might not return it in the same form it was in. Amerikans think chrome is great. What if it comes back chromed or even bronzed? Spock would know what to do, he's been there, done that.

Ah, if life on that other planet were so sweet. We could go back and edit our conversations, insert a smiley face, wear out hearts on our sleeves and not have to worry about somebody poking them to see if they bleed. Not get sent to the principles office cause we don't have the proper credentials, visas, green cards, not be scoffed at when we try to explain that we don't need no stinking papers. Why cry over spilt milk? Because it's expensive. It takes a lot of time, energy and money to feed all those cows, milk them every day, only to have the end product lying in a puddle on the floor. I have a flat rock shaped like a heart. It means a lot to me. It fell once and broke. Split in half right down the middle. While I was busy crying, not audibly, because it seemed so damned symbolic, my son, who was 7 years old at the time, picked it up and ran off with it. A little while later he returned, displaying it proudly to me, "Krazy Glue," he beamed. My little hero. He swore he could see through walls. I believe him.

The list reminds me of Ding Dong school (American 50's kids show), the b***h our Miss Francis got out that spy glass and panned around in front of the camera peering through the tv screens and announcing the names of kids watching, The b***h!!. My name begins with a freakin A and she never ever saw me. I was crushed..[/quote]

The list reminds me that if people dont like you then you dont exist.I believe the term is....shunned,is most appropriate.Perhaps if I change my evil ways?I noticed the absence of Inventors name,also....hummm,seems like aspie can do it as well as any NT.

Welcome to Dino cafe, feel free to be yourself and speak yourmind,as long as it doesnt contridict the "popular belief system"....

Oh,dont worry,I really know that it was just a computer "glitch",not malicious intent.

Krex,
At first I thought you were talking about the "ringing in the ears list". That didn't make sense so I went back and checked Yowling Cat's newletter list. Sure enough, you and Inventor are not on there. Why not? It's a mystery. I would react in a similar way if I had not found my name on there. I can't imagine that you and Inventer were intentionally omitted. Ding Dong school used to be a favorite of my little brother. My mother referred to his penis as his ding dong, and when he first learned of the show Ding Dong School, he cried because he thought it was a school for penises and he didn't want to go there. Isn't it weird how we are so afraid to call our genitals what they are that we give them nicknames? It's demeaning really. Recently in the headlines I read a story about a group of young women, high school students, I think, who were suspended for saying the word "Vagina" in a stage production "Vagina Chronicles" (I think that was the name of the play). They had promised the principle that if he permitted them to put on the play, they would not say vagina. When they got their shining moments, they asserted their rights to free speech and artistic expression. How I applaud them. I had a "front bumpty" and a "back bumpty", still do, as a matter of fact. So much for free association. I think my hour is up. I better get off the couch.

Sorry if anyone's feelings were hurt. It was not intentional. Some items dropped off when I created the table. There are 69 of us, so far. (So much for finishing up at 2:00 in the morning). I hand-filled the table to shuffle content.

Here's the original table:

I'll fix the newsletter. :D

Humm, not sure I'm following you. If you are meaning the lack of certain names, this thing is 105 pages long, pretty tough to go back and get everyone of them. Popular belief system? Evil ways? Inventors name not being there? If you mean something else spit it out. I didn't make out the list, but seems to me you might be meaning something else?

Shunned reminded me I need to write a piece on the Amish, who babysit my Granddaughter, wonderful people. Her first word was, "no", in German, lol. When she plays at home, she cleans house. Give her a pan and she's a cookin fool, cept they won't give her real things to stir when not at the Amish. Kids at that age that learn a second language, use the right side of their brain. I think it's so wonderful she can do this, even if she doesn't know it yet. Outsiders stare when she's in the buggy, blond hair, even under the bonnet. I'd love to thank them, but how does one thank somebody, just for being who they are. She's all of 2.

Sister Whatsername marches to the front of the class, she trips and falls, some little aspie-demon tied the laces of her army boots together. She gropes around for her eye-glasses and her ruler, gets up, brushes her self off and exclaims "Children, children." Whacks her ruler on the desk for emphasis as she speaks. "How many times must I tell you! No casting aspergerisms, I mean asparagus, I mean aspersions. No calumniating! And no pissing on the pot plant, I mean the potted plant. That's three hail marys for you all.
