I can tolerate the sun but it tends to give me headaches. I usually like rooms dark or dimly lit; I removed all the light bulbs out of the light in my room because of that. I can't stand LEDS except red ones; I have a roll of black electrical tape I have used to cover every one I see.

I am very sensitive to light. I think I may have developed Seasonal Affective Disorder with it. I live in the UK and so our winters are very dark and days short. This I think causes me to lose lots of energy and I sleep constantly. It has ruined jobs for me. The spring comes and I get elated, then I arc back down and become reclusive most of the summer. I think I retreat because I can sense that all the other people are out enjoying the summer, and I feel that I don't belong with them. But I do prefer summer to winter. But spring is the best. I do like autumn though, which makes me wonder if I should be living closer to the equator so the days are more equal in length to the night.

I'm sensitive to light, most especially natural light. I don't think it effects my mood at all. I'm going to be purchasing a pair of glasses with transitions lenses to see if that helps me.

I'm glare sensitive, to a big degree. But I've been training myself to not be so light sensitive (well, sun sensitive). It's one of my latest self-challenges.

I'm very light sensitive. When I am forced to walk with the sunlight in my face I feel increasingly agitated and panicky. I also hate it when you walk past things such as trees and the sunshine is on off on off. I avoid going out during the day on sunny days and tend to wait until the sun has gone down. I wish I were brave enough to wear a brimmed hat to keep my eyes shaded but I would draw attention to myself, which would be just as bad. Also I wear glasses to see properly so sunglasses are not really an option.

At home I never use the overhead lights, just small lamps around the place. I love being in a room with very subdued lighting. It's when I feel most comfortable. On sunny days if I am at home I usually keep the curtains closed.

I'm actually happy that the summer solstice is almost here and the days will soon be starting to get shorter again.

But do you like the short days of winter? I love the summer solstice but the downside is that I do not sleep. I think the amount of light affects my brain. I would much prefer the summer solstice than the winter solstice.

I am very sensitive to light which didn't use to be a problem as I grew up in western Washington state where it was grey and cloudy most of the time. But then my family moved to Phoenix, Arizona when I was 12 and now it's bright, blistering hot sunshine 320+ days of the year. This led me to realize that I'm also hypersensitive to temperatures & humidity levels...from late May to mid-October I feel like I'm going to dessicate into human jerky then burst into flames whenever I step outside even for a second. I have to keep the AC cranked to arctic temperatures and stay indoors a lot. It can be very depressing & leads to more frequent meltdowns.

Yes. I am greatly affected by bright sunlight/lights. I deplore the Summer's light/heat and absolutely cannot stand it.

I prefer rainstorms and darkness. :)
