Shoes are a very important part of the wardrobe?

I really dislike shoes! I'm a woman who is 6' tall with large feet. I understand the need for covered shoes at work for safety, but if I can get away with wearing sandals or thongs (I think they're referred to at flip-flops in other countries?) I will! I don't like my feet being covered unless it's cold. I like the feel or dirt and mud under my feet, but don't particularly like being dirty - the irony. Being so tall shoes are generally the last thing I notice about someone, then again, I look down a lot so it should be the first
