^ There may be something in that for me, I think. My tip-toe walking always comes out when I'm barefoot - I really don't want to put my heels on the floor (disclaimer: my childhood bedroom was often carpeted with Lego! This may have some bearing, I'm not quite sure!)

When I remove my shoes in the summer people say I have stinky feet but I'm convinced that my feet wouldn't stink if social convention hadn't forced me to wear shoes in the first place.

I have flat feet too and walk on my toes whenever I’m barefoot.
