He is mostly a vegetarian so i feed him lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits like bananas, cherry tomatoes, grapes, cataloupe, peas and carrots. I'm going to get some watermelon and see if he likes that. Also gave him some flake fish food and some pellets.

I like your turtle. He is so cute, especially that tiny little tail and the tummy shot photo.

I think they make something called Repto-Min which are turtle food pellets with vitamins that they need. In dept stores its usually with the fish food or at Petsmart and Petco they have an aisle with turtle and lizard supplies and different foods. I think they would eat grasshoppers and mealworms too.

Yes, i lost my password and had to make a new acct. There are a lot of wildlife around here. Yesterday i saw a red fox and a deer in the yard across the street. Are yard is fenced and we have 2 dogs so they keep allot of the animals away.

Last week we went to Petsmart and i got him some wet food for tortoises in a can. He ate some of it. My boyfriend killed some flies and put them in and later on they were gone so he most have eaten them.

I don't know what's in that wetfood for tortoises, but I bet it is very good for him to get wetfood. They might like earthworms too. Those are easy enough to find after a rainstorm.

My parents just found a box turtle in their back yard. They seem to be excited about it. I think it must be a bigger turtle though.

He looks as if he's grown a bit, Thyme. How big do they get when they're full-gown?

Yes he has grown and seems strong and healthy. I have some pics I took with him next to a coin to see how he has grown since. But I cannot find them at the moment.
