I don't have a TV set, but I watch TV sometimes - at friends or my father.

i try to watch telly once ina while, but i get bored of it pretty quickly or just kind of over stimulated and sick feeling.

in theory i do like some tv comedy, but only at my sisters house. i also watch nature programmes and old films when i am at my grandmothers house.

i love radio though and especially bbc radio's 4 & 7 - it's mostly comedy, sci-fi, plays, current affairs, etc.

BBC radio 4 is just the best :D The NOW show rocks socks :D :D :D

ah yes, i can very grumpy if i don't get to listen to the now show!

Yes. I like to watch movies now, since it is a quiet time where I am obligated to do nothing, and an opportunity to spend time with my husband in our room after the kids go to bed. As for television in general though, when I lived alone I almost never even turned the thing on. Weather and occasionally the news, and rarely for that.

I used to be a TV addict. It was a good way for me to waste time when I had something else that I needed to be doing, since I'm my own worst enemy with procrastination. I need the stress of the moment to motivate me to accomplish something. When I moved to go back to school, I just didn't have the cable connected. I really couldn't tell you what shows are popular these days.
I do like sports, but I found if I go to a sports bar I can force myself to socialize a little more than I do these days. Sometimes, I will watch some of the shows I used to enjoy on the computer. All in all, I don't miss TV though it hasn't solved my procrastination problem as well as I liked.

Well, back in the 60's t.v. was EVERYBODY'S friend and favorite pasttime!
Yep.. the world has really gone downhill since then.... sure do miss the ole black&white, rabbit ears with foil and coat hangers attached... and... THREE CHANNELS! 8O

My favorite show of that time?
This one...

Actually I had a LOVE-HATE relationship with it because it meant I had successfully stayed up until everything in life was shutting down... I WON!... but yet, it also meant there was nothing left to do but go to bed.

On my own, I didn't own a tv until I was living with my former wife back in '88 or '89.
We watched regular and cable television for about 2 yrs then quit.
We kept the tv to run the vcr with.

Today, I still don't get cable or regular tv, but I recently purchased a 20-something inch flat screen so we could stop using our laptops to play DVD's on.

TV watching is reserved for hotel rooms while on vacations.

I don't have a TV. I do like sci-fi series though, just can't stand adverts (they really get to me. American TV with more frequent ad breaks would really drive me nuts), and hate waiting for the next episode, having to be in/awake at the right time. I used to buy boxed DVDs, but I cant afford £25 for each 4 episodes, so I download stuff like star trek and B5. Haven't downloaded anything in ages, but then I'm not particularly depressed and in need of a distraction at the moment.

I don't care for TV at all. I only have one to watch particular DVDs.

I don't like TV or movies. I've never owned a TV and I don't plan on getting one. If I live with someone who has a TV, I occasionally get into the habit of watching certain shows, but it's really just to distract myself from depressing thoughts - I don't actually enjoy it.

Not usually. I have a few shows I like, but I'm not all that into it

Movies are 10x worse though...

I watch football a great deal.

It's not football season. Therefore, I've abandoned TV.

I'm not that into TV. I watch a few shows here and there but that's about it.

TV is rubbish, if I watch more than an hour a week that would be unusual.

No in fact TV has never really been an addiction for me. I really don't know why. I can get more easily hooked on CDs or anything else except TV which I think is weird.

I'm not really into reality TV shows or shows in general unless I find them amusing but even when I do, it's not like I go crazy about missing one or more episodes. I've also been without cable maybe that's part of it. I do love a good movie though, does that count? I'd have to rent it.

TV is great if I am exhausted and need my brain to turn off....other than that, if its not on the DVR or on my media center I wont watch it, commercials are something I can do without :o
