I personally think that the organized 'women's lib' movement in general has actually done far more harm for women's rights and equality than good.
I also think that lesbians have been helped far more by the movement than hetero women.
As a result I see lesbians reaching equality, socially and in the work place, with men much faster than libber's.
An offshoot may be the apparant increase in lesbianism since it provides more equality, faster.
Will women finally be liberated by lesbians instead of an enlightened male society.

do you have any statistics to support that? it's definitely not "apparent" to me.

There's not an increase in lesbianism. Its not something a woman decides; its inborn. What has changed is fewer lesbians are growing up feeling forced to marry a man in order to survive financially since women can now earn enough to take care of themselves and women don't feel required to marry because their parents don't force them into it. Its funny how a decade earlier there was the huge amount of 40-50 yr old women I met who felt forced to marry after high school and were coming out as closet lesbians divorcing their husbands and abandoning their kids and pursuing young lesbians in order to get their first lesbian sexual experience.

Actually most lesbians own a variety of strap-ons. Its much nicer than a real penis because you don't get stuck with one size but instead can own a variety of lengths and widths.

I took the 'increase' idea from summaries of middle school and high school incident reports of on-campus sexual activity between 1985 and 2005 in California schools that are part of the state edpartment of education statistics but I don't have the URL. Anyway it shows a substantial increase in activity between girls as opposed to boys or boys and girls.
It was just a talking point, not meant to be a statement as it appears.

I don't think that I would have equated that increase with the feminist movement myself. That sounds to me more like maybe the girls are just gradually becoming less conditioned by societal pressures, whereas social pressure on the boys is remaining relatively consistent. Maybe that's an unexpected effect of the feminist movement... but I don't think it would have occurred to me as an effect of feminism from reading the report. Or maybe it's an effect of changing attitudes amongst the educators that's resulted in their reporting the incidents amongst girls more often than they used to.

That last sentence is really very interesting as I do remember a time when boys would get writen up and the girls got a pass.

Heh... I think this sort of thing has happened a lot in one way or another historically -- that adults opinions regarding gender roles result in a disparity in the way they treat the kids. There's a fair amount of debate (or there has been) as to whether or not this is responsible for the skill disparity between girls and boys in math classes in grade school (and consequently through later education as a result of early experiences).

Should lesbians be allowed to use dildos? They made their choice.

Here I am, just waiting for the day when the male gender is reduced to sperm-dispensing nonentities. Yay, total equality!

My semi-educated guesses on possible forms of harm that have been done to society by women's libbers is as follows:

1) There was a time when it was possible to raise a family on one income. That is no longer the case. Why? Increase in labour supply (as women now "want" to go to work too) pushing prices down? Maybe.

2) Western civilisation is not having enough children, most likely because our women are now allowed to choose whether they want any. Other societies don't have quite the same system, and their women are forced into having babies willy-nilly, with obvious consequences for western civilisation, and probably for the planet too.

Pessimistic? Yes. Unfair? Yes. But I think there's a grain of truth in there...

Freaky and gross! I could not stand to be with a woman with a detachable dildo. How do you know it is much nicer than a real penis. Personally, I'd prefer a real penis over a vibrator any day.

If lesbians collect strap-ons, what do gays collect?

Homosexual women still like to be penetrated, apparently. But not by men.

To me, the strap-on is undeniable proof of penis envy.

Ok sure. I guess cause womens vaginas are much more adaptable. Like it is a muscle and as*holes are just as*holes. You can get haemoriods and it can continuosly bleed. You get Aids, diarhoea etc so I guess you could say gay men may have vagina envy :!:
Vagina's are especially made just for penises.
