1. No desire to drive, but learned anyway a year late.
2. Suck at parking 50% of the time.
3. Driving passengers results in lack of focus, anxiety. Try not to do it.
4. Driving somewhere new is problematic even with directions. Try to leave early.
5. Even if I've been somewhere 10 times in the passenger seat I need directions to get back there on me own.

All is better alone with music going somewhere familiar.

It took me a bit longer then normal to learn to drive and driving school was a nightmare for me, but I have a great driving record and as long as I'm going somewhere familiar I am very relaxed. When I'm going somewhere unfamiliar though, I get quite anxious and I have compared my navigation abilities to that of a blindfolded drunk mouse in a maze. I'm really glad I have an app that can do navigation for me.

I didn't get my license until I was 37.

I enjoy being alone in the car, listening to music.

I pretty much suck at parallel-parking--though I succeed because I have to.

I tend to take a little more time to make a turn or change a lane than most people.

the only way I can parallel park is to open the passenger door to see how close I am to the curb, and get out to make sure i'm not too close to the guy behind me or in front of me.

I do the same thing sometimes.

I now have a back seat camera that shows the car behind me when I park.

I used to get lots of nicks in the back of my car because I slightly abutted the car in back of me.

they removed parallel parking from the test here because too many people were failing there. :)

i can't drive without music. i've burnt a handful fo audio CDs for use in the ar stereo...but i'm secretive with my music taste and the only way i can listen to it there is if i'm sitting in it alone.

can't wait to be licensed.

i like to take my time with turns as well.

it will come. I sure wish they'd delete the parallel parking bit from Washington state's DOL test. wish I could drive WITH music.

just think of how good it'll feel when you finally have all this behind you and you can relax. is that motivation enough to get your permit renewed and double-down?

i have a good amount of practice i think, 11 months of driving so far with the permit on lotsa different kinds of surfaces and settings. :afro:

the written test i passed on my first try, that being a stroke of luck, i think. i'm still young. it's not too much of a pressing matter...i hope?????! !! !

the bus isn't that bad??
