This might sound kind of weird, but... the character Koga from Pokemon. Not the Pokemon themselves, not the games, not the anime, not the manga. Just... Koga. I think it's because he is so similar in age and personality to an original character I had been trying (and failing) to properly develop over the past several months. I feel like everything that failed with my character works so much better with Koga.

To a lesser extent, I am also interested in another Pokemon character, Lt. Surge. This was initially because there is a small but dedicated group of fans who ship him with Koga. (The pairing name is "Toxicbolt"). But being paired with Koga isn't the only reason I like Lt. Surge - I also like him because I tend to have a soft spot for stereotypical American characters that sometimes crop up in Japanese media (another example of this type of character is the aptly-named America from Hetalia).

And maybe I'm reading too much into this, but... The same-sex pairing of an American and a Japanese person is a theme that resonates deeply with me, because I was in unrequited love with another woman who was Japanese (I'm American). The way that Lt. Surge and Koga often interact in fanart/fanfiction reminds me a lot of how I used to interact with her. I feel like these reasons should make the Toxicbolt pairing painful for me, but they don't. In fact, the pairing makes me feel warm and cozy inside, like I'm drinking hot chocolate for my soul. Maybe it's because I'm living vicariously through the characters.

I like several other characters and ships/pairings, but Koga, Lt. Surge and the Toxicbolt ship are my primary obsessions right now.

If I had to group all my special interests into one, I would say "learning." Really, I love to learn as much knowledge as I can and dream of becoming an expert on many subjects.

My mother has borderline PD. I feel for you.

After Christmas, I lost obsession for Hot Wheels cars for the kids.

Obsession with Legos is still there and studying probability has come back after a years hiatus
