This is my first try EVER doing this so I'm trying to see if it works. This picture reminded me of the alien face of WP OMG it's SO big. Will work on that for next time

Well...as usual, I made a zillion mistakes on songs I had really practiced on, but the audience seemed to find it highly entertaing nonetheless. They were laughing and cheering and carrying on....I am a novelty act...I get to make mistakes..it is amazing how easily I am able to make people laugh.

....i played Whiskey in the Jar...which is a song that Metallica covers....since I was opening for Harptallica...which is a duo of female harpists who played all metallica songs...

I did not do the hula hoop part of my set. I can only stand to play for about 20 minutes at a time when I am by myself...I tend to hurry off the stage before the novelty wears off..

I had to take xanax afterwards.

My costume is new...(except for the wig, which is really old and ratty)

A bit of trivia is that my avatar picture was taken shortly after the smily one...Flakey photographed my reaction when my parents walked through the door...(my parents are awsome...I just tend to get anxiety attacks if they show up unexpectedly)

It even has a crappy poem to go with it! Hurrah!

I am the sum of all my parts
Your eyes, his lips, her cheeks, a heart
What they want is hard to say
Drowned in your thoughts, it drifts away

Don't worry, I'm not getting all arty-farty - my dissertation is about the relationship between caption and image (focussing on poetry and haiku), and I figured I'd take a stab at it myself. I guess it's meant to be about the neverending identity crisis that plagues me.

Oh, and I don't need any tips from would-be-photoshop-gurus on how to improve it. It was a fun way to kill a quarter of an hour, not a masterpiece.
