Hi threadkillers and sorry Lemon, no prize for killing the thread this time

I'm back from, well, not quite sure really :? No, I'm not quite mad, I do know where I've been physically, just not sure why one day I was posting on WP and the next I wasn't. Guess it happens from time-to-time. Perhaps the hum-drum of life just takes over - who knows? Perhaps I'd better be careful, or else I'll start going all philosophical lol.

Then again, a bit of philosophising could kill this thread once and for all :D

I don't worry about it that much...

For now at least, I can claim responsibility for killing two threads:

No, you go do the work! There's an exam at the end of it.

I think I can sneak in here and kill this one without anyone noticing...

Ah,philosophy. I've just bought a book called The Great Philosophers and it's very
thought-provoking.For example, the 17th century philosopher Benedictus De Spinoza believed that everything in the Universe is in fact connected - it is One substance. What we see as people, trees, chairs, cats etc are all simply different aspects of The One. Modern quantum physics is actually producing theories that could in some ways support this 400-year old view.

It raises the question that if this thread is killed, would it really be killed, because it is
inextricably connected to all other threads and indeed all living things in the Universe !

Do you worry that you might be a thread killer?

Yes, I also fear paranoia.

Hi xalepax, yeah, amazing isn't it. I keep thinking it's dead but it carries on limping along like a three-legged cat ( 8O odd metaphor but I can't think of another one  )

Nice to see eveyone keeping the spirit alive. 8)

Talking of philosophy...coincidentally, or maybe synchronistically, I was reading the other day about the theory that everything is connected. In Churchill's Black Dog by Anthony Storr. That's a really interesting read if you're into how the mind works. It's not just all about Churchill as the title suggests.

Maybe this thread is the secret glue which holds everything in the unverse together? Best keep posting folks, just in case. :)
