Whosoever tryeth to kill my thread, why! They also killeth me...knaves! hehe, in a Shakespearean mood today. Who keeps the gates here ho! :jester: (Yorek, I suppose  )

Syz, I've just started a QiGong (not sure about that spelling) breathing exercise. I'll let you know if it helps.

I've been reading very positive things about yoga.

Bye for now, just popping in to say hello :flower: Hope you're all enjoying the spring. (or whatever season it is where you are)

Most Excellent :!: :)

I was wondering, is there a theme/meaning you are expressing?

I remember in literature classes thinking that sometimes an author might not be trying to deliver a message, but just telling a good story. Recently I heard Bob Dylan say some of his lyrics are given meaning by others he never intended.

But I think I see in your pictures a common theme. So I am curious if that was what you set out to do? Or am I just superimposing my own feelings on your paintings?

PS - Hi to all threadkillers. I hope everyone is well.

No i'm a visual painter, and free in a world without words (unlike the real world) in my paintings, i did not intend it to be one theme, but it is the same world (the one i'm walking in, in that way all my paintings are connected, or all are standing alone, like something you observe in real life, you only see a part of it, or a bit more but never everything)

but as the work is finished there is the communication with those who watch it, so often people give their impressions what makes it interesting for me ( and always confronts me with the question : am i able to communicate?)

So I could ask you the same question, what is the theme ? :)

^ there are 3 panels each connected to each other (obviously), which immediately reminded me of Frederick McCubbin's The Pioneer
Image
(no prizes for guessing what McCubbin is saying).

In each of yours, (the top one) I see (moving from right to left) creation from stone or from entropy a transition to order. Alternatively moving from left to right, moving from order to stone (nihilist).

Similarly the middle one, life and light on the left, sad dour faces in the middle and petrification on the right. Or can be seen in reverse from right to left.

The bottom one, is like evolution/devolution. Worms on the right and vibrant life forms on the left.

I wonder if that says more about me than you? :?:

Alas, poor thread I knew it well...

Hello thread-killers and Bazza and Starr :D

Bazza I named one of my turtles after you. A good name for a turtle. It's one of my virtual turtles on FB.

I always kill threads. It drives me crazy. I've concluded that it's because I suck at being conversational.

it's possible, but there might be lots of other reasons too, not necessarily to do with what you've said (there are so many reasons why people don't reply. just because they don't know what to say for example)
