I went through a few distinct phases.

When I was very young, early grade school years it was an astronaut because I loved things about space back then.

Then up thru mid high school it was a football player. Which was extremely unlikely as I'm not all that big.

Then late teens early 20s it was a metal vocalist.

Now I have no dreams.

construction worker or architect, got the idea from "the brady bunch"

astronaut, got the idea from 3rd grade science class about astronomy

structural engineer, when i was about 18, got the idea from the UCSD brochure. wanted to do an STEM major. b/c of then undiagnosed autism symptoms. according to the brochure, structural sounded like, by far, the easiest academically.

psychologist, got the idea from "the hogan family"

accountant, got the idea from a volunteer counselor at a walk in clinic

and, of course, i did not get to be any of them.

although i did get a volunteer job as a tax preparer. and accounting intern. and worked at an retirement firm. with accountants. my job title was not accounting per se. got fired 3rd day.

physicist. wow. way too academically smart for me to do.

When I was in elementary school, I wanted to be a scientist.

English took over as my favorite subject, and I wanted to be an English teacher and a writer.

I am thinking that, one day, I would like to help people with disabilities.

I would also like to write the life story of Denis Istomin.

When I was little, I wanted to be a veterinarian or a teacher. Then I learned that people could get a job learning about things (science and more specifically, biology) at some point during my elementary school years and I knew the general direction I wanted to go with my life. First, I wanted to be an Entomologist, then a Marine Biologist and finally decided on being a Conservation Biologist in college.

I've always enjoyed playing keyboards since I was a little boy and I also liked to spin things which is how I discovered DJ-ing and music production at age 13 (didn't get my first set of decks until my 16th birthday). Nowadays I focus on releasing my own music (I'm releasing my new single on August 18).

A goddess of aeroplanes called Aiss :D
and a veterinarian.

There was no vet school in my city though and I was just unable to imagine myself living with other people in a dorm in another city and managing everything myself, so it never happened :(

Obviously I haven't become a goddess of aeroplanes either

Dragon, dinosaur, shapeshifter, robot....some mutated monster...

Something other than human.

At 30, I'm still working on letting go of these goals and developing realistic ones. It's challenging.

I honestly dreamed of working in a cubicle and driving a porshe. I just wanted to be better off than my parents who were approaching poverty.

Mars colonist. Or a poet. Or a nun. Or a scientist.

Chose the last one. Not bad.

I think I achieved some of what I wanted to do. I taught English for a year at the junior college level, worked as a proofreader for my local newspaper, did some freelance writing and editing and have worked at my local library for nearly fifteen years. Everything I have done has involved working with words in some capacity. My dream is still to write Denis' story. I want to meet him at a tennis tournament someday and interview him.

I wanted to be an inventor and a detective.
The former never happened. I however get to use my sleuthing skills on the Internet from time to time.

when i was 18, i worked as a cashier. the particular store i worked at did not have nearly as many customers, as some supermarkets. and, by not having to touch food, that saved a lot of dirty work.

yeah it was repetitive.

it was not particularly soothing. although it was much less nerve racking than some other minimum wage jobs.

but, if i were to have wanted to be a supermarket cashier, then i would already have fulfilled my goal.
