actually all US technical jobs are done in Pakistan...that's why Werbert's posts are sometimes hard to understand.

My wand is in the shop for repairs. All I have to work with is a Goblin wand I found lying in the parking lot at Safeway. But everytime I try to cast a spell with it all the wand does is make this farting sound. Drat!

VC, i thought i hypnotised you

(oh well, i'm no good i guess)

only for usual threadkilling, not this one that is

technomonk, once i read here that NT's think we are not communicating at all on wp, that we
are just posting one next to another
but i think there is a lot of social stuff here, not in the same way as nt's do, and it does have as a result that one can feel invisible at times, but i also think it is not our aim to avoid that. it is tough when one feels bad though

I don't feel bad, i just feel like I'm wasting my time.

It's a bit crap being male on here too. If I sent a message to a male I'd get ignored. If I sent a message to a female I'd get ignored. I've always spend my life trying to put the sexual stuff out of my mind and just treat other people as equals, but what the hell is the point of that when I'm the only one who ever thinks like that?

Good morning, threadkillers.

Yes, I have seen a few discussions about that here, and Aspies too feeling the same way. I wonder if NT's also feel this way when they post on message boards, that it just the structure of the way forums work?
My feeling is that people do make connections here, but maybe not in the same way as NTs. I think that these sort of threads where people end up talking about anything, are good for getting to know people. Maybe better in that respect, than the 'what do you think about......' kind of threads, which most of them are.

I treat men and women the same to talk to, is that what you mean? There is flirting sometimes, is that what you mean? I think that is more in the Random forum, maybe? Anyway, if you sent me a PM, I wouldn't ignore you. That has happened a couple of times to me and it has made me feel a little awkward.

Hey, that would be very useful for making sure that you had a lift/elevator all to yourself...

It doesn't matter. I can't be arsed to explain myself, it just seems like i'm begging for attention.

begging for attention? that was a very quite and hidden one then  :D

unanswered pm's might be a little akward yes.
but maybe it's also apsie-ish, sometimes you can be focussed on something else and forget about it. also some people have very different lives, they might be very busy for exemple.
if i'd forget to answer a pm, it would certainly not be on purpose.

and your number of posts indicates that your not so often on wp either, it takes some time before people get to know you. often this happens in places like the cafés, or threads like 'last one to post' (where MerryBerry-Starr, thyme-Bizarre, Cernunnos and others first met and post a daily little something, later it became more crowded and the silent ones landed here, where a few others joined in and where we talk endlessly about killing threads :D ) or threads like 'post a pic' (where there is a lot of casual talking too) or 'how do you feel' and so.

i find talking to people easier when it is subject-focussed, but then again i'm a very subject-focussed person

did i overdo it now ? (i mean your suggestion was to drop it  )

i think Ticker is ignorring me

lol, it's ok.

I just worry about being seen as a me-me-me person.

by saying what i was saying I felt like I was hinting for someone to send me a message or feel sorry for me, neither of which is true. I was just making a statement.

Hi Starr - yes I did thank you. Packed a lot into 2 weeks - best day was canoeing down the Dordogne at our own pace. Unfortunately I couldn't bring any good weather back, 'cos we only had 2 brilliant days, and we needed every second after it rained solidly for the first week

Nope not ignoring. Just not much time during the week to post. You know work and all. Well okay I was a little disappointed finding out your avatar isn't really Batman inspired.

And BTW Technomonk I think you're cool. So chin up now! :D

sorry for the batman, i do like the batman icon though, it's graphically interesting, once i removed it from my son's too-small t-shirt to put it on another one (is that dedicated enough?)

goodmorning thread killers !

Good morning threadkillers

I really like the way this thread is developing, it has a friendly feeling.
A nice place to start the day :D

Canoeing down the Dordogne, sounds wonderful! I was going to ask if you have any photos of that but taking a photo whilst canoeing would be difficult. :) I bet the scenery was beautiful.

All these would-be-thread-killers showing up, jumping on the bandwagon... forgetting what thread killing is all about! And Starr, you're only encouraging them :P
