"Self-Abuse" being the operative phrase, no doubt.

That sperm could’ve been used to make a baby (now it can't be).  Since it wasn't, it's equivalent to murder.  I can sort of understand it if I squint my eyes really hard.
This is how many "christians" try to justify their hatred of contraception -- the deaths of countless sperm cells and one ova every month is somehow sinful because all of those potential babies are dying.

Don't they realize that only one sperm cell gets to merge with the ova?  Don't they understand that for every baby being born, millions and millions of sperm cells must die?

Probably not.

They might think that the particular sperm you lost could’ve been the particular one God was going to make a baby with.

On the female side of things, it is sort of odd to ponder what a baby would’ve been like if that particular egg which went unfertilized would’ve been fertilized in a given month.

That’s what I mean when I said that I can sort of understand it. Extreme conservatives think of it the same way as they would an abortion.

I once asked an extreme conservative if he (note the gender) thought that the loss of an ova during a woman's period was an abortion.  He said that it probably was, which is why women should play it safe and not waste any ova by having as many babies as possible.

Reminds me of the old jokes about people being Homo Sapiens and some are Thespians.

Fun times.

It’s so scary because it’s very hard on a woman’s body to have lots of kids. Sometimes doctors tell them that they need to be done but they won’t stop because of their religious beliefs. I almost died while having one and was hospitalized for 10 days. I couldn’t have had several. Women in this situation die because they are taught not to listen.

After a few, issues like prolapsed uteruses are very common. Clearly, if we were created by a God, he did not design for us to have 10+ kids.

Also, it would be extremely difficult to give each one enough attention (let alone if some of them had special needs). But that’s a different issue entirely.

"Even though they grow weary and wear themselves out with child-bearing, that is of no consequence; let them go on bearing children till they die, that is what they are there for." -- Martin Luther, in his treatise on marriage entitled The Estate of Marriage (1522)

"Reformation", indeed ...

At the moment, I’m sort of glad that he suffered from chronic constipation...

I wonder how many women secretly get a birth control implant or IUD so they can stop having children when they are in such a religious community.

Likely similar to the number of men who secretly get vasectomies to prevent any more "surprise" pregnancies.

No one has any way of knowing which one that would be. And perhaps god didn't intend for many of us of us to exist, in that case. Lol.

Matthew 85:2
Any man who has ever sat on the toilet, has committed adultery in his heart. If your ass causes you to sin cut it off.

There is no such verse in the Bible.

Maybe there should be.

We have lots of scriptures that talk about excrement.

Do you consider "an issue of blood" to be excrement?

Menstruation is also an important topic in the Old Testament and Quran. I feel like this should be a topic worthy of a sermon every now and then.

One week could be menstruation and the next excrement.

They talk about menstruation and excrement as two different things (although in the same section), but they are treated the same. It’s treated similarly in the Quran.

In my Goddess cult, it will be a particularly holy time, phases of the moon sort of stuff.

I’ll just leave the topic of excrement alone...

The quoted "verse" was satirical.
