Its cute. I was pretty obsessed with turtles when I was 8.
I got a nice push turtle back then and I still have it now.

LoL hope he does'nt grow that big
All day long he stares out the window. Like all he can think about is returning to the wild and being free again. But the chance of him getting killed by something are high. I want to wait till he gets bigger and stands a better chance of surviving on his own. I sometimes wonder if I'm doing the right thing by keeping him captive.

He's so tiny...and if it were me, well, I couldn't put him out to fend for himself knowing the risks to him are so high, while he's so small. I think you're doing the best thing, looking after him. If he'd been outside, instead of being cared for by you, he'd probably not be around now.

Here is BT's new home! It's a vivarium that set-up like his natural environment. He seems content mostly lethargic cause it's too cold.

That's a nice vivarium, but be careful about the cold because that could kill him or make him very sick. In the wild, they hibernate when it's cold. If he's acting lethargic and cold, he could be either sick or "brumating" (hibernating). Box turtles are supposed to be one of the common reptile pets that are actually quite challenging to care for. Do you go to any of the reptile forums or read books about box turtles?

He's burminating right now. I've read tons of books about turtles and raised allot of aquatic turtles. I've found an excellent site on keeping turtles, by these people who have every kind of turtle you can think of. They even let their turtles have the run of the house!

Yesterday he went into his cave and dug a hole and buried himself in the dirt 8)
