Hi all! Having a great time. Swam with the dolphins, turtles and stingrays today. Some dimwit boy was trying to flirt with me. I don't know what they think. Dh ran him off quick. Anyway, having a great time. We shocked the youngsters today and I only got a little sunburned. Love it here. Don't want to go back.

Honestly I wonder why people ever leave once they come. This place is a happy obsession.

Glad to hear you're having a wonderful holiday! And can't wait to hear how you shocked the youngsters.

Yeah but not even a pretty post card?

Geeze, did you notice she said they were shocking youngsters. You don't suppose she took a stun gun with her do you? I mean can we not picture our little Zanne running along the beach with stun gun in hand playing with the kiddies? You do remember what has come out of this ladies mind don't you?

I think a fast check of the white parts might be in order. If she has none, then it might be fair to assume how she shocked them.

LOL I had Sylvie go after him with her Flex snake bracelet and her friend broke the mirror and stabbed one of them in the brachial artery, then cut it. It was quite good. The friend killed the guy even though she's over seven months pregnant. I mean she is a doctor. She just had to find a replacement for a scalpel in that room.

Sylvie got pulled off before she killed the sociopath. He's going to kill five pople and before he is killed.

Ok this is a heads up. They have the first named storm of the season (already yikes!!). It has SwampBloosms real name on it, she knows where her ex lives in Florida and if this storm has any level of her feelings about her ex, get inland now, way inland. England might be a good choice. Trust me.

Personally I hope the storm blows itself out. She'll never live it down.

No hurricanes while I'm on vacation! This always happens.

Don't sweat the hurricane, it's got a ways to go before getting to you.

Dh says it's over by Jacksonville. My niece and great nephew (or whatever you call that) is there. :( I guess it's sitting offshore and spinning. Over by us are the fires. :( Not good news from home. I'll have to send my brother down to get my pets if things don't improve or fly home early.

Alyssa! We went by that place!! !! That's hysterical you posted that. My brother had just told me what happens when they don't trim the coconuts. Have you ever stopped at that roadside stand where they sell ice cold coconuts and the Somoan woman tears off the husk with her hands then takes a machete and slices the coconut open? MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM It was yummy! And shaved ice at this place on the North Shore? Yummy! I found a grass skirt for the lady in our London office. It even had the coconut bra! LOL Dh has bought me so much jewelry I feel like a glutton!

I've had poi and poki and haupia. Everything is yummy! We went to the Willows. Have you been there? It is very old. When they reopened it they had to rebuild the whole thing. It has gardens all through it. But the very best was swimming with about 20 dolphins and SIX turtles! Then we saw an Eagle ray. It was so cool.

I love the jungle part too. The drier part is weird to me. I'm used to humidity.

Gawd things move fast in this thread. Even without Lau here!

Prof, I got a real nice place for sale on the island of Hawaii for a reasonable price :D :D :D just the place to retire to!

Postpaleo, I would think swampblossom would want her storm to be a real doozie! Go down in history like Katrina. Actually, yeah, I can see how having the name Katrina now might kind of suck. Never mind.

Chuck, unless they're all in Australia, that'd be westward, young man. You live in Tennessee? That's one of the prettiest places on the mainland, IMO. And of course don't forget there's an open invitation for anybody to visit me in Hawaii, but the disclaimer of my being an aspie and not the best tour guide remain.

Zanne you are too funny with your PDA! What an inspiration for all us married folk. Between the missionaries (ahem) and the Japanese tourists, the Hawaiian beaches are the most uptight, fully-clothed in the world. Not a thong in sight. Even at Waikiki, to see a speedo you have to go to the north end, where all you see are speedos on tight little gay asses. Nice. But seriously, before the missionaries, Hawaiians didn't wear clothes. It's done a 180 unfortunately, and nude beaches are extremely rare here. So sad.

And that is too funny that you actually saw the random sign I posted because of PP's post. Weird.

So are you going to get yourself a hula skirt and coconut bra - and wear it? That'd be awesome. Post a pic, please.

Where's Merle? Ohh she must be working those long shifts. Miss her. It does suck when you have to choose between food and gas. That always puts me in a very bad mood. I hear you can survive for a week on ramen noodles, if you have to. Where's the public outcry about the incredible price of gas? Have we just gotten so beaten down by it that we're giving in? Have the republicans not gotten a clue yet that maybe...oops - didn't mean to get political.

Did I forget anybody? I hate to leave people out.

Good stuff. All I need to find are the right supports to build my cat walk in my cave... Going to carpet boards for them with platforms in good spots (windows) for them to gaze, catch the sun and watch things. The best one I ever saw just went every where in the apartment, even went to a window and to a tree.

I've always wanted to do that. I'd probably end up watching them all the time.

Postpaleo, let me validate your WoW gaming. I've always been a gamer: Civilization3 & 4, GTA, wargames, flight sims. Now wondering which MMO to get addicted to (I mean, play.) Could I have both good and bad characters?

Zanne, glad you're having a good time; it sounds heavenly. Bite a fresh pineapple for me. :)

Prof: Yeah, wish we could help Merle. I've worked long hours for too little; it sucks. And her posts are great.

Whoops! Ha ha! One of my common brain farts. I think west but say east all the time. And I point left, but say "right". I'm never confused, but my poor listeners/direction receivers always are. (Its a good thing I disarmed ordnance by myself, didn't call out the instructions: "Now cut the left wire."). :)
