I'm 30. When I was younger, I was really young for my age. Being a single mom aged me, physically and mentally, so now I at least look my age. I was 22 when my oldest was born and people thought I was about 15. Some people were really rude about it. I still feel like I'm about 25, though.
I heard the same comments when I was 22 and pregnant with the first one. Things like " What a waste of a young life!! When asked they thought I was 16. And you're right, being a single mom does age you. I was that, too for 5 years. 30 was when I finally stopped getting ID'ed in the bar ( in Canada it is 18). Nothing aged me as fast as giving birth to my new husbands baby at 33. That really did me in!! And I've never been the same!!
