You tell me, you're a Mod, LOL.

She left. She was upset enough to leave.

Anyhow, given the fact that she is on
a temporary leave, I removed my post.

But, the comments I made are important.
Flaming someone, for whatever reason,
even if they are a mod, is not good for
the community. Complaints about mods
are best addressed in a separate thread
(or the overmoderation one), and should
not be personal in nature.

Her username is not banned.
Other than that, I can't tell
without a lot of work.

I don't understand why this has to carry on.
I dont understand why anyone has to be on any side, or why there even has to be sides in this.
No one seems to be remaining neutral other than Starr.
For everyone else, either I am the big bad mod with too much emotion which = emo whiner to those who don't understand
or Bizarre is the big bad mod who attacked a totally innocent member.
Neither is correct.
Neither of us is right or wrong in all things.
And this thread has utterly put me off interracting with some of the older members, since I seem to have been judged.
But I know some might see that as a godsend. :P

Hypocrite? why? Whom have I flamed? Expressing
objections with how people handle themselves is
not flaming.

Crap. I have objections with both people involved.
I saw a post as recently as yesterday continuing it,
and finally decided that I should step in again. If I had
known all of the facts, I would have let it go. BFD.

Well personally I've never been interested in the back and forth flaming that goes on in some threads, here or anywhere else. It's boring and generally takes an absolute age to scroll through!! !

I rather enjoy it, but it is
clear that it doesn't belong
on this site.

do you know if greasepot lets you make a blanket block on everyone and then unblock selected members?

The way it works is it gives you the option to block any member's posts. You will not see the selected member's posts, but there is a toggle switch in case you think they might have posted something you want to read.
So you can toggle each member you've added to your block list on and off.

I thought that Bazza was implying that
he'd rather only see a small selection
of the posts. That he'd rather block the
vast majority of users.

aylissa,

The only ad hominem “attacks” that I see is from you (which I don’t mind at all); I can speak for myself…and I’m just interested in knowing why people wish to run away from those who’re harassing them, I mean, it’s gotten me nowhere and I’d like to offer advice to people that’s helped me before; you don’t have to listen to it, you don't have to like it but you can at least cease throwing the same ad hominem attacks that you are accusing me of (which I'm not partaking in), because these same “attacks” is what causes harassment in the first place. It’s a never ending cycle that if you don't break it it'll continue forever. You can easily say, 'Daniel, I wish to continue running from what I fear, it is just too much for me now,' and I'll understand fully.

This forum is about conversations with depth, and if no one counters another person's conversation how can there be any depth to the conversation? Rather, it'll just be a lot of head nodding....

Excuse me, but perhaps we're from different planets. I fail to see how I "attacked" anybody and therefore object to your calling me out on that. Perhaps you can go back and quote my attacks?

Why should you care what other people decide to do? It reminds me of men arguing about right to life issues - it's my body and my choice, just as it's my decision to read or ignore certain posts. I do not get where you and others on this board get off thinking that you are the moral voice of reason and get to decide what's right for everybody. Bully for you that your experience is that you'd rather face your demons, I'm guessing I"m several decades older than you and have slain enough demons for several lifetimes, and don't like it when I find them here (which there are, as we all know. WP members include psychopaths, sociopaths, stalkers, misogynists, etc.) Why is it impossible for some of you to imagine that not everybody wants to read their posts?

This whole thing is ridiculous. Just live and let live. Let me block whom I want, and I'll let you choose to not block.

I'm also again requesting that this information be stickied somewhere for when people feel they need it.

You never know: you might find yourself being stalked or harassed one day.

How f***ing typical.
And none of you are getting any, if memory serves me right.

There you go, doing what you were accusing people of.

Do what you wish, live how you wish and abort whatever you wish. This doesn't mean that people cannot offer advice on a public forum that they feel may be beneficial and pertinent to you. You need not like what people offer or you may love it on sight and live to it; your choice. Just don’t accuse people of “attacking” you when they were offering their opinion and then refute them with ad hominem attacks when you can easily ignore the advice and/or opinions offered..., this leads to people countering you with similar "attacks", and the cycle is started and it never ends.

Demons don't exist by the way.

I don't blame him, LOL.

I am having problems with sussing out how to do this, can anyone help please. I've got the Greasemonkey but after that, what to do with the script, I'm stuck.

I had to tinker around with it, too, because the directions didn't work right for me. I think I just copied the entire script, and then went into Tools/Greasemonkey/Add New Script and pasted it in. Does that help?

Yes thanks Maldoror, with the help from you and Lau I've managed to suss it. I've no idea what I was doing wrong but it's working now. :)
