my faith at least can be demonstrated and observed in a laboratory whereas your gospel you have word of mouth of some hermit in a cave putting pen to paper 200 some years after jesus supposedly died.

Science doesn't involve faith, last time I checked. If it did, it would look like religion ...

right but since the true beginnings of life can't be scientifically proven, I have faith that that or something like it is the answer.

Whatever the position of institutions employing scientists is on that one, a good scientist will happily accept the limits of his own understanding.

If you can demonstrate it and observe it, then it requires no faith to believe in it.

right but I'm talking 2 billion years ago when we can't be exactly sure what happened since no one was there to observe.

But if you aren't so sure, then how can you conclusively say that the Christian scriptures are wrong?
