Inconvenient I bet. I remember when we gutted this one inside, thankfully we weren't living in it at the time though...3 years later I was still cleaning stuff out of the basement rafters. 8O

Somewhere around here I have a picture of the house when we had the 7ft trench (that eventually turned into a half decent moat after 3 days of rain) surrounding it ...all it needed was some more water and a couple of alligators.

This is a thunder head with funnel clouds that built up from the west of Lethbridge, travelled over us and let loose with string of tornadoes just 20 km east of my house. It was 2 years ago this week. You could see the entire cloud rotating as it passed over our heads!

My whacky aunt took these pictures. The rest of us were in our yards close to the basement!

I can not describe the feeling of impending doom that those clouds brought about in me. It was the most horrible feeling and I still feel it looking at the pictures.

Step one: get your picture, scan, copy from a photo cd, or upload from your digital camera.

Step two: downsize your photo…remember the larger the photo the longer it will take to load

Next you need to upload your photo to your web space or a free photo hosting service on the web.

Here are a few to start with:

http://photobucket.com/

http://www.imagestation.com/

http://www.villagephotos.com/

Each site has little differences in how you store your photos and arrive at getting the link for your picture, but the procedure is basically the same.

I will do a quick walk through using photobucket as an example….

Sign up for a new account with photobucket, and log in to your account. Next in the “add picture” box…click on browse….locate your picture where you have it saved. Once you have located it, double click on the file (or click once to select it and click “open”) to open the link into the box. Click “submit” and wait for your photo to upload to the bottom of the page. Once your photo has uploaded, you will see it at the bottom along with 3 different links, URL, Tag, & IMG…for posting pictures on the forums…just copy and paste everything in the IMG box into the message of your post.

**If you are using a different photo hosting service that only provides a URL link, you will need to click on the little mountain scene “insert image” button above the message box to first get the proper tags ….Then copy and past the link in between the tags, like so: …

Nice picture bizarre. I was attracted by the stone work. My grandfather and father, even my great grandfather a little bit, were masons. I never took up the trade, well a little, when I had to after a major flood. Never liked blocks and bricks, but stone work, I love to this day. Dad and I built a field stone fireplace, it looked like it had been layed up "dry", in other words you couldn't see any mortar. Still a few of the old stone fences around, but they were done by the Welsh. Now there where some stone masons, amazing work. They last till this day because they actually move with the earth. Early stone masons in this country were very good at it and everytime I got on an historic dig, I was amazed at what they could do with their measurements. Almost a lost art in this day of plastic. I should redo the water fall in the back yard, I just may.

Yikes!! You have a yurt in your back yard too? Cool beans, mine is falling down, though. I like what you did for the skylight and we never did get the roof properly sealed against the rain till we "retopped" it with flat sheets of wood.

Look at David Bowie's cheek -at a recent concert a "FAN" threw a lollypop at him and the stick pierced his eyelid ! !! !

Not sure if Bowie was LUCKY or UNLUCKY -if you know what I mean !

After treatment he continued with the performance ! !

Jees I would have dived into the crowd and ripped the idiot's head off ! ! LOL
