I was talking to a professor at school today about inspiration, and was having difficulties in communication.

He told me his way to becoming a professor, and advised me to draw inspiration from setting professional goals such as where I want to be in 5 or 10 years. Maybe that's the NT way of thinking, but it may also be helpful to me, maybe.

I was more inclined to draw inspiration from imagination and little things that most regard to as insignificant. Just recently I drew inspiration from counting numbers and standing at an intersection of a street to my imagination of a future transportation system.

Where do you find inspiration?

I hear ya girl! 8)

I'm not sure what motivates or drives people to do what they do especially when it comes to some of us who are told what we should be doing but what we want to do. I find some people are just good at motivating themselves to do what they've been brought up to do and some of us are just..well....stubborn and want to do our own thing that gives us a sense of inspiration.

Hmmmm, inspiration. That's breathing in, isn't it? And expiring?

I find inspiration and soul mates in books.

The author might have lived 100 or 1000 years ago or they could be alive today. That doesn't matter. I hear what they say.

I have tended to be a grasshopper while my also-aspie sister is an ant. I think my youth was more fun, but now that we are older, she is way better off.

I try to encourage my children to be more ant-like, but you gotta follow your heart. Is being established more important or living in the moment?
