Learning to live independently
On the 15th of June my autistic housemate left to a different group home. Now I am alone and I do a lot of things myself. I get about 75 euro for 2 weeks that I must use for buying food, drinks and small snacks. I do my finances myself and I consistently earn way more money than the monthly costs I have. I haven't issues such as smoking, alcohol abuse, not knowing the value of money and how to buy things wisely, which means: not buying things you do not really need.
There is a lot of things I do alone now, but I cannot stay in the house where I live now. The group home staff wants me to move soon and increase the level of living indepently. There are a lot of steps that must be taken. One of the things is buying furniture. First the little things such as cooking tools, saucers, cups, and the like. I have made an inventory list with things that I need. My personal staff member will help me buying the stuff. Because they are a lot of things, she will come with a car soon and both she and I will go to a store where these things will be bought.
Now I am practicing alone. It isn't a real problem to be alone because generaly I work 8 hours a day from Monday to Friday. Since I broke my elbow on the 23th of March, I worked 2 hours a day since the 17th of may and 4 hours a day since the 31st of May. I will work 8 hours 15 minutes a day since the 31st of August soon, when my summer vacation is over. So I will have my social contacts at work, but I will be alone at home 12 weeks a year, but they are not adjacent weeks. Only between 12th July and 31st of August I will be alone all the time.
I feel being very free, and can do exactly what I want, but of course limited by what is normal and acceptable. I can decide for myself when I start cooking, somewhere between 17:30 and 18:00,. but I want to have a clean kitchen again at 19:00, so that I can sit at my computer and play games, visit boards, etc.
It will be easier to invite women to my home or order an escort. I love to be free that way, but with some responsibilities.
