I just got a message on Facebook from another girl on the spectrum who is currently living with her mother but claims that she is going to kick her out. She then asked me if she could live with me for a few months until she got settled in a homeless shelter.

From my own story, I am someone who does not want a roommate and I currently live alone in my own condo. I also have a one bedroom condo and so I do not have another room or space available for my friend at this current time. How do I say no to her?

'No, I don't have the room. Sorry.'
It's better to be honest and direct.

I did tell her no and reffered her to some numbers that she could call such as an Autism Center and then a local organization called housemate match.com right after I wrote on here. I also told her to contact her old boss which is mine and explain the situation to her to see if she had anywhere in mind for this young woman to contact.
