A few days ago came out to my 11 year old son about having Asperger's. He kept going "yeah" and nodding his head, when I mentioned things such as my not being able to tell when people are lying but he can, etc, etc. I felt amazing after that, and he understands me better, and I assume it's a relief to him. I must praise him because he has always been such a loving son. He now understands I really meant it when I said not to wind me up with anything I don't like or can't cope with, which I've noticed he's reduced. As an alternative he has taken to playing little jokes on me (that I find funny and don't get angry about) and he is finding it hilarious. I don't mind at all. Today he whispered on the intercom, pretending to be his friend ryan, but I heard brian, and actually thought it was ryan as I played along, until he said It's me! We laughed when he came in the front door. I said "you've been having fun with me the past few days havent' you ,since u offically learned I can't tell a joke?!.. he giggled :-) I love my son. He makes me smile, even when I don't get the joke! :-)
