......" mildly so " , likewise autistic , mildly .
My whole life I had the " identity " of being " the smart one "...Now , in my 40s ( Homeless , no college graduation - my parents money , much of it , went to making sure my brother was safe ) , I'm AS , a " ret*d " too .
Now I feel I , perhaps , should " lobotomize " myself , perhaps , people would " love me mpre " :P . Being " clever " didn't get me much .

the term has fallen out of favor with a lot of people. You know enough to be able to logon, and post here. Granted, right now isn't a good time to think about changing things economically, but you can finish college; many places have more adults than young adults. Professors actually value them because they know the nature of hard work, ask questions, and challenge ideas.

There's intellectual intelligence, and emotional intelligence. Society values the first, but takes the 2nd for granted. That's the hard part.

That's actually a very common cause of intellectual disabilities.

I don't think you're supposed to use the term "ret*d" anymore.

I believe the politically correct term is something like "intellectually disabled" or "mentally challenged".

I don't think the that you're entitled to dictate what other people can say or believe.

If you lobotomize yourself then you'd be more ret*d.

That would be a pity, because it takes a considerable amount intelligence and flexibility to be able to lobotomize one's self.

A total waste, if you ask me.
