Hello, I am new to the forums and wish to post something that has been concerning me for a few weeks now.

Me and my mother went to a psychologist to talk about my behavioral and other issues and both believes that I may be on the spectrum. I will be seeing the family doctor in less than 2 weeks to get a reference, so I can get an appointment to see a neurologist on the matter.

However, what bothers me is, after my mom and I left to go back home, she spilled out that as a toddler of 2 years old, I would often dry hump the floor/carpet with intensity, to the point of turning red and sweating. What raised her suspicions of possible molestation was that, after a day being babysat by my aunt and her ex from many years ago, I started to exhibit what I mentioned a few lines earlier. Apparently, I did that until the age of 7 but I eventually stopped.

I'm not sure how to react, as I have no recollection of being inappropriately touched and I am constantly wondering why she did not mention something as important as this to the psychologist.

What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are that what you describe is for lack of a better word, "normal" behavior for children that age and could very well have been a coincidence that your mother noticed it right after your visit with your aunt.

But you never know, I guess.... I have heard such memories can be suppressed by the victim, so it may be a possibility. Maybe ask your mom why she thinks there was a connection?

Just a thought, but if you are on the spectrum then the behaviour you describe could just as easily have been a form of stimming. But I'm no expert so I could be way off the mark there.

I have never, ever seen this in a two-year-old. It's normal for a two-year-old boy to play with his penis, esp. when naked (sometimes alarmingly -- boy, do those things stretch) and sometimes you'll see a toddler girl feeling around her vagina. But this dry-humping thing, no, in years of spending hours daily with small children, I never saw that.
