anyone here been to a police station or correctional facility? i spent a night at a police station for a weapons offences.

yes Michael. I've been booked, fingerprinted, spent a day in a holding cell, went before court, was luckily released on a pre-trial "probation" program on a 3rd degree felony (probably because it was a first offense) when i was 18. it was pretty scary and i never even told my parents. i was arrested for hiding out my boyfriend, who had skipped his court date, as an accessory.

i've dated a lot of felons (seems to be a pattern for me) so i've been inside a lot of prisons, although obviously not INSIDE inside.

what was your experience like?

i waved a pistol on a open freeway cause some people in a truck called me a fag (which im not btw) tried to make my getaway on the bus 5 min later swarms of police, helicopters. got on the bus apprehended me. got 1 night in the pen and 1 year probation no big deal.

i have a life long gun,knife and bomb obsession. geuss it didnt catch up to me intil adulthood.

i love weapons too, but people are unfortunately understandably jumpy about such things these days.

i try to stay within the law and if i stray, i make damn sure i've got a good reason and i'm not going to get caught. hence 48 years in front of bars.

i do hope you were collecting, not for the purpose of doing harm to innocent people.

so what's the status - do you have to appear in court to enter a plea?

indicted on firearms charges (even tho it was only a bbgun) no witness statments suspended sentence probatiaon for a year no big deal.

I'm in a situation right now where my mother and I got in an argument while she was drunk, she began pushing me downward on a flight of stairs, and because she was intoxicated, she stumbled backwards. I tried to keep her from falling, and helped her up immediately, but she said I pushed her and called the cops. She didn't seek medical attention, get a restraining order, or give a statement, but they took me in for domestic assault and battery. I'm back living with her without incident, but I have to go to court in a couple months to face the charges (the victim in these cases, cannot "drop the charges," and that's probably a good thing) It is my first offense, and I am scared to death.

Don't know what to expect, and am seriously concerned about going to prison, or even being found guilty in any way. My friends tell me that it is best possible situation, and I even have a witness that saw some of, and heard all of the altercation, and the police statement said that she was intoxicated. Regardless, I feel as if I were on trial for murder and found with a bloody knife. Nothing is very comforting.

I've been in jail several times, from going in and then bonding straight out to staying for 11 days which was the longest I had to wait for a bond. I've never done time though.
