When I was young I would try to make friends and I am far from shy or intoverted. My social anxiety was caused by people bullying me constantly everyday because some of the problems below. My anxieties appear as low self esteem.

*** People have told me most of the following below, and I experienced others.

Social problems

- I would go up to people I never meet, and talk about space , once they tried to leave I continued to talk about space
- I tried making friend by following people, and was bullied and called a stalker
- I played on the playground by myself when I was younger
-As i got older, I joined clubs, organization, still had social issues
- I was called socially awkward, shy, quirky, smart
- I do have friends but it was hard to maintain them.
- I usually talk about myself and my interest all the tme
- adults were nicer and understanding than childern.
- no friends in college

Sensory problems

- When I tried playing a sport or walk in halls in middle and highschool to many things activities were happening at one time, and to fast.( I came home crying)
-when I was younger at certain foods first, and ate it each one at a time ( always ate fries first, then burger, then drink, and i didn't notice until my mom told me)
- I hated smacking, I would scream and itch when I was younger

Routines

- I would do the same things everyday, such as, watching tv
-If I am need to get somewhere in 20 mins I would take the usual time to get ready because I'm use to it.
- it more familiar to do something the same way, but sometimes I get bored and restless other times

Special interest

-I didn't do well socially and decided to do research for 8 hours everyday.( I did this a lot because I couldn't understand why people bullied me) ( why I was different from them)
- I considered the tv and Internet a place where I can find comfort in. ( I got rejected, and found it easily to research and connect that way)
- I have rigid thinking when trying to learn new things( I received bad grade because I didn't adapt very well)
- I have good focus and sometimes I do not ( I have interest in this one subject and talk a long time on it, and if it's not I get bored and sleepy)
- I love science and often talk about it

Other issues

- when i was younger I was disorganized and we're paper everywhere
- little common sense ( why are people being mean to me?)
- donot get sarcasm ( it blows over me real fast people told me they were being serious, and i thought something else)
- innocent and naive

Other issues I do not have

- no reptitve movements

*****I took at aq test online many times and it says I was 25/50 ( likely to be aspie!?!), and other test say I do not have it?

The highest I gotten was 29/50 other sites.

I'm not a medical professional but what you describe seems pretty much consistent with having Asperger's. Why do you want to get tested? How will an official diagnosis help you?

You need to lose the waistcoat Alex, makes you look too official. Try not to get too bothered about the diagnosis nicepuppy, time enough for all that. I was Officialized two days ago aged 55, go figure that :? .

Take the first steps to diagnoses. Find out what it would entail, then (presuming you 'test positive') what support you would seek if you knew for sure and what services would be available to you - then decide.
